The Flashing Blade

Belle and Sebastian

The White Horses

Danger Island....

Quality saturday morning and holiday TV from a bygone age

I still have this vague memory that the girl in The White Horses was well doable but that might just be a wishful memory

I've been doing two-monthly advent calendars for work this year with a kids' TV character from the past 50 years hidden behind every window.

There are a couple of good sites out there that bring back a lot of memories like her doableness. I'll see if I can find them again

http://www.televisionheaven.co.uk/contents.htm

http://tv.cream.org/

http://www.jedisparadise.co.uk/index.ht ... wash.htm&1 (good one for my pics, this)

sausagenet.co.uk was another I think, but it seems do be down just now

I have the complete version of the 'Robinson Crusoe Theme' and 'White Horses' by Jackie (slightly different from the tv version, but good enough) on file.
Also; The Champions, Sanctus (from the film, 'If'), H.R. Puff N Stuff, Hogan's Heroes, Jackanory, Joe 90, Banana Splits, Randall & Hopkirk and The Magic Roundabout.
If anyone is interested, pm me.

Loved hearing The Flashing Blade again - I've tried to live by those lyrics.
And 'Belle & Sebastian', too! Can't believe it was that high pitched!

You can't beat the 60s and early 70s for theme music.

The Robinson Crusoe theme still pops into my head occasionally, usually when I'm walking along the beach.

I was channel hopping the other night just as The Avengers was starting. Great music. I used to love it as a kid but watching it again I realised how crap it was.

The Champions
The Saint
Dangerman
Thunderbirds

And of course, Dr Who has withstood the test of time.

Maybe it's just when you are of a certain age that they stick in your mind more?

Ah Nostalgia, can't beat it.

Anyone remember:

"The Kit Curran Radio Show, a superb series about a local radio DJ with a sense of self-importance that was dramatically disproportionate to his actual status. The conclusion to the series saw the radio station's management finally lose their patience with the scheming star and show him the door, but this did nothing to dent his ego. Returning in 1986 as Kit Curran, the second run saw him working as a decorator but still making wild plans to set up his own radio station."

That's about all I could find on the net...
