For me it's FPL, free and easy to use, and seems the most popular with around 2.5 million people from around the world playing the game, and not to mention it's on the main premier league sit.

I like the interactive element on facebook for TFF.. though i admit the FPL is faster.. and more interesting.. less of an issue about leagues.. and i love the head to head changing each week..

Daily Mail for me - as a "game" it offers great interactcivity (is that a word?) you are constantly tinkering - looking for 3 for 1's easy runs for teams, managing transfers and captaincy changes etc. Unlike most other games you have to undertake some activity between fixture dates (pulling people off your bench etc) so it offers midweek excitement too unlike FPL.

I also like the scoring e.g. it rewards unsung heros in a side with 3 points for win and 2 points for appearance.

This year will offer even more challenge with a 4 man bench to manage to make sure all 15 players score you points each week.

Obviously TFFO is the best but in its absence I'll go for The Mail.

I don't even know what some of those are. FSports? Match?

The two big heavyweights are TFF and FPL. Is it me or is FPL becoming a lot more popular on Fiso? Looking at the number of active threads yesterday (August 1), TFF had 9, whereas FPL had 22. And the last time I looked (which was about a year ago), the total number of TFF and FPL posts were pretty much neck and neck. Now, FPL has pulled ahead by some 34,000 posts (342,000 versus 308,000). And that's despite the fact that murf doesn't play FPL . Curiously though, there are nearly 3,000 more topics in the TFF forum. Anyone care to explain that?

Another vote for TFFO - followed by the Clever TV version of YTM.

Will probably be playing FPL, OFL and The Star for the first time this season, so can't really cast a vote for any those.

Sky is the worst........which considering their assets......is strange.

Sky Sports should have joined up with FPL in my opinion ... would have made the game bigger and stronger.

Sky have bigger and better prizes but if by bigger and stronger you mean changing the whole style of the game ie. squad based and offering it to the world they could but that wouldn't require joining FPL.

Sky only allow UK residents and if memory serves me correctly there were 250-300,000 entrants last year, that's 300k of 60million so 0.5% of the UK population
FPL allow worldwide entries and had 2.4m entrants last year, that's 2.4m of 6billion so 0.04% of the worlds population

In percentage terms Sky is a bigger and stronger participating game and with those figures if they wanted to offer the world to play then they would blow FPL's 2.4m out of the water with the prizes they offer regardless of the type of game offered.

FPL has the figures participating it does as there are few FF games available to the worldwide audience, just imagine a Sky type game hitting the worldwide market offering what they do in terms of prizes, FPL would cease to exist within a few years.

Yeah I'd like to see the Sky game using the same format and points system as FPL, and go worldwide then it probably would be better than FPL because of the website it's on, although FPL is on the main premier league website as well... so if they combined somehow they would be no competition from other newspaper sites or whatever.

For me it was FPL, but now it's any other since the remedied last weeks problems by leaving those who were lucky enough to log on with points, and everyone else who couldn't (no fault of their own) with zero points.

Then they suggest that everyone gets free transfers. How exactly does that fix the problem. Our group went from ten players to two. Obvioulsy the two players are the ones with points.

On the basis of the games available this season, I voted for OFL . As a newbie, I'm very impressed with the quality of the Web Site and general functionality - even if I don't like the game rules quite as much as TFFO (to compare similar genres - i.e. squad-based games).

I've been very disappointed with the much-touted FPL, but it seems as if I've picked the wrong season to start playing that one because of all the issues with a new Site design.

The Star is OK - but I was hoping for something better from CleverTV* as their last 2 seasons running YTM gave a fantastic user experience.

As for YTM 2011/12 under Silent Manager - the less said, the better.

GFM - you sound like the sort of bloke who would mix up Rooney and van Persie.

The FPL subforum is in it's own bubble. There are a lot of threads in there about general FF topics rather than all being specific "game" topics. Some of these threads really belong or should be part of general chat for all to see. I'd not display the FPL forum at all, but there is occasionally some handy stuff posted in there which should really be in a more general FF forum.
This was one of my bugbears as a moderator and I was fighting a losing battle with that one!!!

I think I am with Latic here if it means less of the "Arteta\Bendner\Parker " is a must have after their move thread, let alone the ones I (and others) drop del Horno into as it is the 3rd or 10th time some numpty player's fitness\selection is questioned.

I play FPL but have the FISO forum hidden in managed displayed forums because of the dross I couldn't possibly wade through. Shame I miss the odd piece of FF gold.....could someone pm me the weekly highlights?

Apparently Arteta has turned into Superman, and Boswinga is the best FF full back, since well you know, del Horno.

Bring back TFFO!

If FPL don't sort out their website soon (and even if they do, it's lost some functionality it had last year), then I'll try something different next year. Maybe OFL, maybe something like the Daily Mail one , on the theory that maybe fewer FF experts play it, and it might therefore be easier to win prizes (not that I'd describe myself as an expert). As WilBert mentioned above, I like the idea of being able to move players on and off the bench during gameweeks.

I like both but TFF will always be my main game. FPL is nice as I only have the one team to worry about.

FPL is good as it's free and tons of side games are available on FISO. Not sure I'd bother with FPL if I had to pay and was limited to 1 mini league.
I like TFF as I have played it for years but I really miss TFFO.
DreamTeam is fun but fairly pointless.
Daily Mail don't stick to their own rules and won't give points for players subbed in even though it's in the rules.

Really? That's a shame because the format of the game looks really good. But if they don't manage it properly it's obviously a deal-breaker.
