Well 12th FF season, 2nd mail.... and for the first time happy with one teams start... two weeks looking at 80 points+ per week... that makes me happy... am I deluded?.... have previous season been so bad that this is all relative?.... what team score are you happy with?

Its hard to tell what team score to be happy with. This is a new game format so potentially you could have 15 scoring players over the course of a weekend. My teams range from 161 points to 142 points and I do not consider this a good start at all. In fact i suspect its way below average.

FS Record: not bad
I've got a Man City based side around 140-150 but my others are barely in three figures. I'm not too worried at this stage though, I'm still quite happy with my squads and there's a long way to go Image

Entry numbers must be well down though. I've made a below average start and still got all my sides in the top 10,000. I'd have expected to be closer to 100,000th based on the last couple of years.

Hi Art,

Im finding it difficult to determine what a good score is. Would be interesting to know how many teams entered this year as does not have the feel of a game that has 100,000 + teams in at all. Ive burnt a couple of transfers already which were necessary.

Overall I think my teams are in Ok shape but really hard to benchmark against as this 15 player format is a totally new concept. Would anyone else be prepared to share what points there highest team is on?

I still think we should have created a fiso league similar to last season. That way we would be able to gage how each of us is doing against a benchmark.

I suspect getting 15 a week playing is ambitious. Ive got a team in 60,000th place on 72... got to be a fair few worse?...perhaps we need to look at our position as more a guide

Best team is on 192 (228th), worst is on 132 (6,872nd).

Sounds like I should be pretty pleased with that (whilst reminding myself that we're not even at the end of the second game week  )...

People complaining about very good scores

My five are between 110 and 160 points. All inside the top 20k (out of 134k) which I can't complain about after 1.9 weeks. (Granted a larger than usual number of that 134k won't be serious contenders, with the increased maintenance required in the game this season. And a surprising number of teams on very low scores - i.e. sub-50 - maybe many auto-picks just abandoned? :? )

I think all scores have updated now. teams range from 257 to 301 points. How's everyone else doing? Think a few of my teams were killed off yesterday with people who had the combination of Dzeko, Young and Rooney. I had a couple of Rooney, Young combinations but thats it.

My range is now 218 to 288 points, all between 3k and 30k position. Had a reasonable amount of Rooneys and Youngs yesterday but only 1 was captained across 5 teams, and had no Dzekos. :(

Without the use of any subs, how many people can actually manage to get their full compliment of 15 players out this weekend? I'm averaging 12 - 13 across my 5 teams with one team only being able to manage 11 players. Daily Mail has become quite a tricky game this season.

I'm the same, none of my 5 teams can have all players playing, not surprising looking at the fixtures, everyone will probably be in the same boat. First time I've played this game, enjoying it so far.

The best I can manage this weekend is 14 but that's only in one team, all of the others are either 12/13...

I'm in a similar boat but have a decent amount of Fulham coverage which does not make up for the test of the dross I have in my teams. Can we start again without any Chelsea or arsenal players to pick from please?

I'm not happy with any of them because the scores in all of my teams are now different to the history section! Some show the history with more points than actual and others visa versa.
There is no way the points are right which ever way you look at it, making me wonder if its worth continuing. Love this version (squad based like old TFFO) of the game but all getting a bit silly like this.
Same organiswers also made a bit of a mess in the sky game with Captains etc at the beginning, so you have to wonder what is going on with them.
Takkes a lot of time planning teams and changes for this game, but really, is it all a waste of time?

I haven't followed the scores of my teams closely but once in August there seemed to be a screw up but the key thing the team total was correct. This Sunday morning I saw that in the detailed scores for each week section all my players had been alloted points on Saturday irrespective of whether or not they were on the pitch or on my bench. Even worse all their scores were in the team total which was 12 points too high. However this morning although all those points are still showing under the detailed history page they have been deducted from the overall team score which appears to be correct. So it seems that the history page can be disregarded. Usually the team's overall score should be less than that implied by the history page.

There seems to be a stuff up somewhere. Monthly leaderboard should have started afresh for september according to t and c's section 14 - we should be in month 2, but the site isn't showing this at all. It makes no sense.

Edit - gone back to look at it and some sense is there - seems that the only monthly list showing has stopped at end of month 1 which may be correct; but there's no sign as yet of a list for month 2. Unusual, as this was promptly updated with no worries last term.

I'm reading all the complaints about scoring issues but I've had no problems with any of my teams scores. I had benched some players, who would have scored me points, on Saturday but my totals correctly didn't count any points for these. Never had any errors with my total scores in the first weeks either. Edit: I do have the issue on team history where for example both Cech and Hart's scores are shown even though I had to bench one, but I hardly ever check the history so that doesn't bother me too much - my totals are right.

Separate month 1 and month 2 tables have now been posted - so perhaps the other issues are getting dealt with too.

To be fair, I've had a good response from the organisers and the main problem appears to be that all players (whether playing or benched) are being given scores in the history, but not in the actual scores, hence the discrepency.
Their reply included a full breakdown of my scores for one team in every week and I can confirm that this pans out. So the software issue is with the historical scores it appears.

V good response from GFM. Great news that actual scores seem correct :)

well another reasonable week...pushed into the top 2000... seems to move up you need a 100+ this season... from what I recall that's about 25% up on last season... tho' what I recall can all be very vague considering the homebrew consumption
