Any help greatly appreciated.

I have been playing this game for a few years now. I have had moderate success but only when I get off to a good start with a team. I am good at protecting the lead but less so at closing the gap. I have realised that using historical data is not the answer when trying to close the gap. That said, I feel that this team is full of solid picks and I am unclear where improvements can be made. It is currently in position 84222 and has 22 transfers. I appreciate that I can not win with this team but getting into the top 20K would be ok.

If you are reluctant to share any nuggets publicly, I am very happy to get the advice via PM.

That team is fine and should rise comfortably but check on Larsson's fitness.

You are a bit City heavy, no bad thing but below par on CSs. A lot resting on tomorrow's game. Maybe tinker if they lose.

I would honestly say that is a very good selection. A lot of good scorers in there. The team also has a decent amount of flexibility also.
22 transfers at this stage is really good and using some of them to dovetail in some of the big hitters during the second half of the season will see you rise. Wouldn't be surprised if you made the top 20k tbh providing you don't do anything too bloody daft.
With injuries and what has been a surprising season in so many ways I think there would have been more early transfers made by managers than usual (not based in anything just an opinion).

I have been thinking that it should rise for a couple of weeks but it hasn't !! If I had more confidence in my ability to convert transfers into points I would be happy to leave it in the knowledge that, come Feb / March I would have a significant advantage over most other teams.

Regards the FA Cup, I am probably hoping for a draw for the sake of the extra game but in truth, the Man Utd that I saw the other night will never progress against City. I used to worry a little about teams going out of the cup due to the obvious but if any of the big teams are playing in the FA Cup against inferior teams, how many of the "must haves" actually play anyway - unless it's the semis or beyond.

Re transfers, you are in a good position. Keep an eye on the fixture lists and FISO and go for some 3 for 0s etc
