Here's why.. thanks to Fiso.. i play in quite a few... and i don't always read the points a or T & C.. until after!! I've found games without game weeks... 12players.. 15 players etc.. and 2 seasons ago.. i liked the Tff Squad manager but it was tough..
Do you equate best game with toughest? or easy to follow rules?.. easy participation..

Is there any point to having one with a manager involvement? ( like orange?)..
i'm guessing the facebook (Citizen Sport) is similar to Yahoo and therefore does not warrant a separate entry?

Depends how you define tough.

For example I could say FPL is 'easy' as you get a free transfer every week and subs that come on when your players are injured etc BUT then again you could argue it is 'tough' because you have to stay on top of everything every week and make captain, transfers and sub choices etc.

I always found TFFO truly tough as it required constant attention yet was hard in the respect you only had 15 transfers in a season to cover 18 players and had to think months ahead re flanges etc when transferring. So tough I only ran one team (or two with the ISO squad).

I would argue that the idea of game week makes things easier.. in addition with the ability to change formation and have 1 transfer per week.... locks you in...( FPL)..
But the Daily Mail felt harder as i could effectively change my formation over 3 days.... with the 15 players... if i was not on top of my game.. i could lose a whole 2 days of games!!

with over 2 million players, to be the top player of FPL takes some doing...

OK.. i would agree that that is one way of looking at it....and indeed people play the FPL.. not for the money or cash prizes!!.. but i'm not happy with that answer.. it feels unsatisfactory... but yes it does take skill and planning to stay top of the 2 million pile... i wonder what rule could they introduce to FPL that would upset the planning and skill element?

I voted for YtM as the toughest - this season that is -as it's not as easy to assemble a good team as in most FF comps.

However,it doesn't necessarily follow that the winner of YtM is as skilful as the winner of FPL,as quite apart from the tiny number of players of Ytm compared to other FF games,especially FPL with over 2 million teams to compete with, most winners in YtM are likely to have spread their bets - and their money - across many teams, compared to just the single team allowed in FPL,which is what makes FPL the "Blue Riband" FF game imo.

I'm in agreement about 1 team.... i might attempt to have a metro mini-league next year... 1 team only entry....

I don't see how it can be the 'blue riband' game when hardly any of the established, respected, succesful FF players play it.

It has it plusses but, in terms of the FF world, it is a niche market game for amateurs (albeit lots of them!). It is the London Marathon without its world stars.

I'd claim the 'blue riband' game is TFF as the biggest 'full involvement' game out there - i.e. ignoring The S*n's transfer windowed lottery.

FPL.com, on the basis that there are a lot of players and the site's a piece of shit.

When you say that hardly any "established, successful FF players" play FPL,that's complete bollocks

Some of the biggest multi-entrants in other FF games have tried their luck at FPL,believing that as they've been successful in other FF games,FPL should be a doddle.

When they discover they can't hack it,many just quit,unable to accept they're not quite as good as they thought they were.

Others continue playing,but keep quiet about their identity,waiting to prove themselves before disclosing their presence

We've yet to see one of the so called "established successful players of other FF games" succeed at FPL,but one day someone will; I'd love to see someone do so.

TFF is restricted to people resident only in the UK,and is closed to global residents,unlike FPL. It's a game for multi-entrants with spare cash to splash - hardly any play with just 1 team,that'd be far too challenging !

Interesting.. so.. the rule differences for each game... means the skill of winning is not transferrable..
who are the experts of winning? i assumed they are all here?..
i don't like the idea of transfers whenever you want to.. i would prefer something like.. 3 transfers.. every game week.. ( oh dear.. the minute i thought of that rule... i suddenly winced!! and thought.. have i got the maths right?.. that would mean 111 transfers!.. gods.. even orange fantasy offers only 50!)

I think FPL is the most difficult/enjoyable due to the changing values, squad, different formations and team restrictions. However the captains pick and bonus awards detract from the game in my opinion.
If I could only play one version of FF, it would be this one.
Has anyone finished in the top 1000 more than once in the last 5 years?
