Only needed 2 options in that poll murf. I'm watching Manchester/Rome first and firing Valencia/London on the Sky+ for later. No doubt the London score will come up during Manchester's game though.

Never really got into Life on Mars although it is meant to be great. Watching Chelsea is not something many neatrals would do out of choice.

I will be effing between Man U and the Cricket (West Indies v South Africa)

If I only had one channel Life On Mars would win hands down but as it is I'll probably Sky+ it and flick between the football channels (mainly scouting Valencia and Roma as future Liverpool opposition  ).

Shame the footie is being broadcast on ITV with their technology from 1973.....

Fixed order of play on ESPN tomorrow morning - Man United first, followed by Chelsea. I will also be keeping an eye on the West Indies v South Africa World Cup cricket clash.

Given a choice, I would go for the United game anyway - should be a cracker. In contrast, I expect Valencia to squeeze through in a dull 0-0 draw - but at least everyone will be spared yet another one of Drogba's miracle recoveries, from a near fatal injury, if Chelsea are chasing the game for 90 minutes.

i stupidly kicked off series 3 of 24 yesterday. 8 hours down and completely hooked.

if i manage to avoid the dvd player then i dunno ... i have a perverse attraction to the chelsea game in the hope that valancia go through.

8-)

p.s. not expecting SA to be too competitive in the cricket

Life on Mars is a one trick pony, so it definitely won't be that.

I'd like to watch both games, but 3 hours of football in one evening is probably too much. Might watch the Roma game then watch the second half of Chelsea afterwards, assuming I manage to avoid knowing the result by then.

Valencia probably, though I'll flick as usual to the other game.

Mrs Sp4 will be watching Life on Mars in the other room.

The cat may be with me, or her, depending on it's mood.

There will be no trouble at OT. On the M6 if you are doing 78, and have no road tax however, our police will show no mercy.

Need to watch our next round opponents so it will have to be Valencia - but much channel hopping will be done and then Life on Mars Sky+'d for later.

Went out for a few beers and dinner in Shoreditch with an old mate. Got a phone call from a City mate who was (boo!) watching United dcemolish Roma and told me it was 6-0. I didn't rush home to catch the end.

If I had been home and if Virgin Media hadn't cut Sky One, it would have been Battlestar Galactica.

FS Record: Highest 1232 this year. Can I push for top 1000?
Chelsea vs. Man U vs. Life On Mars vs. Csi vs. Battlestar

It's times like this I love my new job; however the bustards at the BBC on sent me the first 30 minutes this week, whereas its normally the full hour.

Lukcily the CSI and Battlestars were both a full hour which meant I got to watch the footie for the most part.

However, if I'd only one tele and no job, the brilliant finale of Life on Mars would be on.

Nearly, but no cigar - how many arrested?

TBH Watched the Chelsea game for the first 20 minutes and was gutted when I flipped over to see Man U 3-0 up
Not a great Man U fan but spent the rest of the time willing them to punish Roma for the troubles
Great believer in Karma, me - and last night was sweet revenge
Alan Smith's goal was a corker
de Rossi's was great too
The other 6 were all quality

21 arrested in total including 3 Roma fans arrested for shoplifting from the United Megastore! Is there a Roma supporters club based in Liverpool??

Trouble started early doors when Roma fans were fighting with police outside the ground. This then escalated when the Roma fans fired a firework at a group of United fans and the United fans retaliated, bottles and cans were then hurled by both sets of fans. This was all outside the ground before kick off. There was no trouble inside the stadium.

I'm genuinely surprised, even amazed, at the number of people who didn't seem interested in either match. To me the Utd-Roma was a must-see game, and the Chelsea-Valencia one would have been too, if it hadn't been for the clash. And this is supposed to be a football/sports forum!

I'd rather watch Everton v Wigan than Life on Mars.
