Terry 9!! Anelka 9!!

:shock: Berbatov had to score 5 to get that rating, and practically guide Utd to win a game 7-1. What did these two do!?

Ha! I thought Tchoyi was shit. Nice to see Kompany get star man. Was Balotelli really worse than Kolarov?

They may as well just do away with the rating system and just give a tick for playing well enough to score three points and a cross if they play poor enough to score nothing. And a big gold star if they are star man. 7,8,9,10 ratings are all worth the same, I personally think an 8 should be worth an extra point and so on. It's all a bit pointless really :shock:

So the Sun rates Balotelli a 4, whereas the News of the World marked him as a 7 :?

I have been thinking this myself for a couple of seasons. I didn't mention it as to be honest I thought I would have been tried by now. I was thinking:

7=2 pts
8=3 pts
9=4 pts
10=5 pts

There is hardly ever a 10, so this actually means there is only a variance of a point normally over current scoring, but it would feel a lot more sensible, as well as much more satisfying when your player picks up a 9 but misses out on the starman :-)

It sounds like a good idea in theory... but it would put more pressure on an already poor/unreliable ratings system.

I agree, this is not the way to go!!! this would cause more controversy. The reporters would have to make sure they are even more accurate and consistent with their points awarding and that would never happen they can't even distinguish between someone playing well enough to get 3 points or not.
