Dont think I have any teams without Man Utd or Spurs players in them. Surely that will be needed to win it this weekend?

I seem to remember last season one team won with 6 of the 14 players scoring 0 so more chance than you might think, although chances are obviously reduced.

There were not 1.3m teams then.

Good point, the bar is definitely raised this season. over 209k entered now, I think most weeks last season there were round about 100k entries, so numbers wise twice as hard already.

Mind you the plus this season is not so many teams geared for a particular week, although this week might be an exception.

I've only entered one of my teams so far and am already having vietnam-like flashbacks to last season's weekly slog

Oh to have some kind of automated system that did it all for me.......

Seems to give you a different amount each time you log in. It's telling me the bottom teams are around 162k now. Yesterday Ashley said it was reading over 500k entered . Don't know exactly what is going on to be honest.

Comparing this year to last year

-Your competing against every entry. -You could say you were only competing with targeted entries.
-More entries. -Less entries.
-You can't target the weekends -You could target the weekends.
-You can only enter a maximum of 61 teams. -You could enter unlimited teams.
-£1000 winnings -£5000 winnings

So its got a hundred times harder and the prize money has shrunk by £4000.

It does seem Dream Team based this years competition around 'a level playing field' or in other words 'Get Rid of Tam' because of all that happend last season. I don't think they have gone about it very well for some reasons ie. mixing Premium and Free teams together goes against this idea. Although in terms of WDT I cannot see a WDT player winning more than once this season.

I think most people will pick Bent or Torres possibly Aguero.

So not sure thats the way to go, I went for Saha as Star Man as I doubt many would pick him, got an easy game against QPR.

Game on!!!

I checked earlier this morning and it said 320k. Just logged on again and its back to 162k for the "bottom" of the table.

Baffling to say the least.

You've forgotten the 99 prizes of £100 which make it more appealingfor the masses and less appealing for you. The novelty should wear off with a lot of people thinking they have no chance by November time when entries should reduce quite a lot.

good, in a game of hundreds of thousands of entrants, the same people shouldn't be all the prizes.

your obviously not that impressed about £100 but for someone who's only playing with a free or very few teams thats not a bad return :|

Who wudn't want £100? but Its not exactly going to change your life. Even getting in the top 100 over 30 weekends is going to be damn hard. 10,000-1.

I can rule myself out of this weekend for a start.
