Interesting postcript from WDT 27

Originally there were

96,453 ENTRIES INCLUDING TAMS 22,000 INVALID TEAMS.. I SUSPECT.

the final total after the Sun disqualified 17,544 teams, i mean Tam's :wink:

78909 David Burford BOLTON -22 (Wooden spoon for Footy :wink:

Total Tam entries under his 26 guises- (according to jpk the computer sleuth)
20,299 out of 22000

lets round that up to 20,300 for arguments sake.

Total Tam aliases that slipped the net this week
2,756 teams.

Rite now the simple arithmetic test.

96,453 original final entry
minus
78,909 revised final entry
=======
17,544 disqualified teams.

add the disqualified teams to the Tam teams that slipped the net

17,544
2,756
=====
20,300.............

and what was the number of teams Tam entered using the AUTOMATOR after being warned for this week

20,300................

Image

There will be another Tam watch this week for WDT 28.

Dont forget Sanjay/Tom.. Somebodys Watching You....

Still await official confirmation but everything is kosher with my team.

Looks like the wait is over, as this was in the Weekly Game News Email:

"This week's Weekend Dream Team winner was a fat ugly bar steward, whose 'GREEN ARMY 2043' took top spot with 131 points. Mark's decision to pick Jon Walters and make him Star Man was inspired as the Stoke man earned him 26 points!"

You know how boring and tedious it is entering all your teams into WDT? Well, maybe not if you've only got a handful of teams, but imagine if you had hundreds or even thousands of teams... It'd take forever, wouldn't it?!

Derek Tam's syndicate, which includes all the Wraight's, the Tams, and all the other teams that are named Verb Animal has 22,000 teams (yes, TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND) and so being a sneaky computer programmer, he decided that instead of clicking away through all his teams, he would write a program that bypassed the website (thus no need for clicking anything) and entered all his teams into WDT via using a website process that he shouldn't have had access to. This fact was proven when it became apparent that he'd added players that nobody else was able to pick, thus he'd not used the traditional way of clicking through the website entry method. This had been suspected all season, but nothing was proven until a few weeks ago.

Now, after a lot of evidence was gathered and given to The Sun, they decided that using an automated method of WDT entry was against their rules, so they banned those users from winning any more weekly, monthly, WDT or Grande Finale prizes.

Read about it here: sun-official-response-unauthorised-entry-process-t84063.html
