It says that the next WDT Game is scheduled for:

Mon 02 Jan - Sat 07 Jan for the weekend of Sat/Sun 07/08 Jan

But there are no games scheduled for Sat/Sun 07/08 January. Anybody know what is happening here :?

Arsenal v Leeds N/A
B Rovers v Villa
Barnsley v Swansea
Brum v Wolves
Chelsea v Portsmouth
Everton v Tamworth
Fulham v Charlton
Gillingham v Stoke
Liverpool v Oldham N/A
Macclesfield v Bolton
Man C v Man U
MK Dons v QPR
Newcastle v Blackburn
Norwich v Burnley
Peterbrough v Sunderland
Spurs v Cheltenham
Swindon v Wigan
West Brom v Cardiff

Going to be a case of last man standing. Especially with United v City quashing many a team's chances (Jones v Aguero, Rooney v Hart etc).

Also the fact that off the back of the heavy festive schedule, many teams will be putting out scratch teams (not least because most have lower league opposition).

Will love it if Newcastle and United are the only Prem teams to get through. Will be an interesting WDT that weekend.

Last season this would have been won with a targeted team entered Saturday morning, with latest teams news.

Now, we are all faced with entering a load of scratch sides. Winning score could be 50 or 60 odd?

Everton block perhaps could do it. :|

A funny thing just happened. I was doing a provisional list of players for this coming weekend and scrolling down the Sun's list of players I ticked of Nigel Reo Coker as one of them, but when I had another look an hour later he had gone :?

I'm I going blind, or can anyone tell me where he has vanished to ?

EDIT: Sorry, my mistake  . I just assumed that as he's a regular in the Bolton Team he must be on the list, but obviously (for some unknown reason) he's not.

When I'm banking on the likes of Stephen Dobbie to get a hat trick then I know that it's a weird old week. :|

What's the closing time for entry on Saturday - I'm too lazy to look for myself, but I know the first kickoff is 12.30.

12:15 I think.

Gunna be a poop WDT, all reserves playing, You will definately need at least one of these players:

Zamora
Leon Best
Ameobi
Pavlyuchenko
Torres

Some player you can't even pick will probably get a hat trick ie. Lukaku.

Fuller

He came off the bench against Tottenham, so there's a good chance he'll play.

If I see him before the game, I'll pass on your encouragement

Shame Dream Team have decided not to let ppl enter WDT during the season. There reasoning: To make it a fair playing field.

Well isn't this game a lot to do with picking a team to succeed (it also involves a lot of luck) but The Sun choose not to let anyone have any fun and look forward to using their management skillsto form a team based around these FA Cup games. They have destroyed the whole purpose of Fantasy Football by not allowing entries.

I doubt many people have any intertest whatsoever in this WDT its just going to be some random team as usual that someone picked for a laugh or by accident or by lucky dip that will win this weekend.

I'm happy with a fair playing field. If a random team does win, they have to enter first, which only 12% or so of entries do therefore starring and picking the right three players is more important than ever this week.

To succeed you must enter. To win you must use your management skills. At the same time it is fair for everyone.

Less people would enter if they let new entries play it as there'd be no point in competing with newly picked teams with an unfair advantage.

I agree. Sure it was one of he things people moaned about last season.
At least we're all in he same boat; the only losers are the sun (in lost revenue).

But how much of a selling point was it for the Premium package (so has it 'lost' them revenue).

So do we all think that actually WDT 16 represents the best chance of any of us winning. I mean, I reckon they'll be a lot less teams entering than normal. I even considered not entering myself, but will probably wait until tomorrow morning.

Good luck FISO'ers as usual

I think there's the lottery angle, but with diminishing entry levels AND the FA Cup AND post Xmas I think it's a good opportunity.

Banning entry to WDT during the season = Boring. I really enjoy targetting WDT.

Going to be interesting anyway I suppose as at least I'll have my 3 extra WDT picks that should play. I expect most people will go with a random bench warmer striker. If you star a random player that scores a hat trick then you will probably have a chance even with a crap overall team. Lets just hope the bulk of the Main Man City defence play.

I may as well lucky dip them every week, the only time I've won £100 is when Daz done them for me when I was on holiday!

Thats my worry!

You try to be cute…. going for players like Best or Fuller - then find its the usual suspects (Jones, Torres, Defoe etc). that do the business.
You cover Jones, Torres, Defoe etc and find its someone like Mackie or Moore that get the goals.

I think in the past I have always expected really weakened teams, but in reality most will play a semi decent line up.

Liverpool last night were a prime example;
Some fringe players, some squad players, some first choices.

Just guessing which batches will be selected.

I'd expect players like Krancjar, Dawson and Lennon to play for Spurs (in fact, I think Harry has confirmed this). But will Pavluchenko or Defoe play up front?
