Delayed set up on this - possibly driven by mutual tears from Watney withdrawal and some shocking scores to boot

Celtic Manor looking very extreme today - birdies galore but more double bogies and 3 / 4 putts

Hansen 4 putted as they went live (always feels that way - they join and your man does rubbish!)

Noren looks like sitting pretty at the top - afternoon scores could be fun and bumping it up to +2 / +3 for the cut mark

Personally need Marino (OR Marion as he was last night) to go low today and make the cut.

Aiken wound me up this week.

Brought him in last week as he was due to play in the Wales Open too.

Faded last week at Wentworth after promising great things, then decides to go to The Memorial instead of Wales this week.

He'd have been 2nd or 3rd fav at Wales, instead of a no-hoper in the States

Was pleasently surprised to see him at -2 last night as I turned off the golf.

How I laughed when I saw he'd turned it into a 75 by the end of the round :P

Noren AND McIlroy are frustrating me as well,

Dropped them from most line up's after the last few weeks and look what happens.
(I think I need to let everyone know who I am dropping in advance and then at least everyone else can benefit when they do well)

Banking on Jamie Donaldson and Anders Hanson to do well at the weekend in Wales.
Could do with Cink (T13), Allenby (T13) and Karlsonn (T43) to be challenging in the USA

I left him in my NCG team  I too thought he was a no hoper over in the US, but for some reason left him in.

Ross Fisher with a 44 on the front 9 at Celtic Manor.

They all seem to be struggling today.

Given they are playing in Wales, they have probably all gone out in heavy jumpers and waterproofs and the heat is causing them all to pass out.

I looks steady away, currently at -1 through 12 but then you look at his front 9 and you can see why he could just implode at any moment.

Bogey + Birdie + Bogey + Par + Birdie + Bogey + Birdie + Par + Par

*** EDIT *** Follows it up with 2 further birdies and then a double bogey on 14

Really glad I don't have him now as my heart can't take it when he is in my teams

*** EDIT TWO ****
Is he actually playing with a different score card to everyone else - The man does not know what a PAR is :!:

Actually no

Went in water twice on 14th - got a double bogey - which was in the end great but note sent after 2nd visit to water and still 160 yrds to go playing 5 on par 4!!

celtic manor causing so many probs because the wind is really gusting, nothing one minute then very strong next.!.

Noren was playing a different course to gmac back nine, looked very good.Overheard peter hanson saying he really fancies it tomorrow
Worked the 11th hole today ,brought back many memories of last oct :D , if only i had found mcdowells ball today off the 11th green he may well still be in contention, pity it was doing 100 mph as it went in the long stuff a foot away from the waters edge

COME ON JAMIE AND PHIL, for patriotic and financial reasons

Hmmm.....I picked up on this story last night, but hadn't seen an image until just now (Schwartzel got a free drop onto the fairway as he was sure he would hit the sprinkler):

Have Donald, Moore, and Baddley this week, who were all sitting pretty at T6 at close of R2, and all went markedly backwards today. :?

I saw that too, looked like Charl took full advantage of the rules to me. Anyone see Strickers hole in one :?:

I have had a little wager on Micheel (100) and Wilson (42) to make it intersting - of course if Stricker can break 70 again it will be no contest.

I'll raise your McIlroy with Rickie Fowler. He's made 25 birdies & 1 eagle so far at the Memorial & is currently only at -6. Probably the most frustrating player on the PGA Tour.

DDisappointing last round for me- Hansen Hanson and Donaldson didn't really perform -bigger steps backwards in ofl -at least with Hansen as capt in a few of the others they should retain mediocrity
