Sanchez
Somehow I've ended up with sanchez in my team and was planning to swap to aguero this weekend. If he goes to united I could pick up a few extra fixtures for free and have a revitalised sanchez, so maybe I should I wait? What are others thinking?

Wait til the weekend. The news on him changes every 5 minutes. Got to be worth holding if he goes.

I got rid of him for Lukaku on Monday. Too much doubt for my liking.

Re: Sanchez
I was going to start a poll on whether people would expect to have him in their teams by the end of the month IF he gets his move but this is as good a place as any.
Personally where I'm still holding Hazard I'll be looking to get Sanchez in a Dolly front line with Kane and Aguero for now. Elsewhere I might just go with Kane and Sanchez. Sanchez has had 4 months off and will probably play every minute of the rest of the season whereas Aguero has played a lot recently and I can see less minutes when a) Jesus rises from the dead and b) champions league returns. This relies on being well covered by City midfield and a feeling that Aguero maybe doesn't have quite the same settee trembling effect as he used to when he's not in your team.

Wait and see for me, although I guess he'd be better value than Lukaku who I currently have.
I can currently afford a Kane, Aguero, Sanchez front line.

Re: Sanchez
I think be cautious. Having Moanio as his new manager' might restrict Sanchez' creative side making his price tag not worth it. Also he could unsettle the club that already has its fair Share of deevas!!!

Moving on!
Big wait & see for me. That is for United players in general not just Sanchez. Sanchez no doubt will displace one of the young guns but the effect of his arrival on the team overall has yet to be seen.
Will the squad be energised? More importantly, will they love his dogs?

Re: Sanchez
It has to be a wait and see given the price tag doesn’t it? The gamble (jumping on the band wagon before its even built) could impact your team / transfers significantly if it doesn’t pay off.
However, stripping away the noise of the last 12 months, Sanchez is world class imo. I think Kane is the only must have forward at this point so there would be a space in my teams for Alexis if things click.
The transfer will probably now cement Aguero in teams that have him though. I don’t think Sergio is a must have because he does look as explosive (or at least very accurate/sharp). Cue a hatrick against Newcastle..

Re: Sanchez
Sounds good but surely the values with Firminho @ £5.7m or Son @ £5.0m
The premium midfielders and defenders are now starting to come to the fore, so with that big front three,
it limits you in other areas.

Re: Sanchez
I haven't checked but those three might be better value (points per game per million)) than Firmino and Son if they hit a rich vein of form.

Re: Sanchez
A lot depends on how many transfers left. If you're running low might make sense to park a big front three. If you've got a few there's some nice daisy chain opportunities coming up for, say, City, United and Spurs.

Definitely have enough to daisy, the question with Utd will be whether to go for Sanchez or Lukaku in any daisy.

Re: Sanchez
Positions in the PpGpM ratings for these strikers, only including players not marked as injured and having played in the last two game weeks
Kane 3rd 0.994ppgpm
Aguero 4th 0.991
Sanchez (n/a as non-playing but is 31st out of all strikers 0.707)
Firmino 12th 0.885
Son 6th 0.948
As with all recent TFF seasons the PpGpM value is not in strikers. The top striker in this list is only 125th out of all players.

Agree strikers are about raw points not value at least to an extent.

Thanks. Son looks interesting as a cheaper third striker at midfielder prices if money is needed elsewhere.

My comments were informed by contributions both on here and elsewhere and 35 years researching psychology and understanding the negative impact certain cognitive traits can have on Others.
Far better to accuse my contribution of being biased against Mourinho.
