Hazard's Teeth
Thought this probably deserved it’s own thread, since most of us will now have to use our final transfer to replace him.
I guess it makes sense to wait to hear from Jose, but in the meantime, who will you replace him with?
The obvious options seeem to be:
- Silva, if you don’t already own him
- YYT, if you can afford him
- Mata, if you fancy Man U
- Gerrard, if you think he’ll go out with a bang
Quite drawn to Mata myself. And you?

Re: Hazard's Teeth
Own Silva, don't fancy Gerrard, so probably between the other two. Can only afford Yaya before Hazard drops though, so if he drops tonight it's out of the question. I guess Mata probably, although not especially excited about it.

Same as that. I have Silva so YYT 1st choice and I luckily have £0.2 wriggle room. If there are doubts over him, I'd be okay with Mata.thesilkworm wrote:Own Silva, don't fancy Gerrard, so probably between the other two. There is zero chance I'll be buying Gerrard. I'd go for Puncheon or someone if need be.

Re: Hazard's Teeth
I have a sneaking suspicion Hazard could make it, possibly with the aid of some painkillers, and not eating hard bread rolls. His legs are fine, he'll want to play, and he's not Súarez.
I'll be waiting and listening out for the news.
I'd be more hesitant if he was up against the toffees.

Won't be doing anything until we have something a bit more concrete to go on. Should he miss out, I would say Silva is the best target for anyone who doesn't already own him. As I do though, if Hazard is confirmed out I am quite drawn to Mata myself. Seems slightly punty, and would facilitate enough funds to bring in Benteke or Lukaku too.

If chasing I would go Hazard to Walcott, if leading I would go Hazard to Silva

Re: Hazard's Teeth
Think I'll do the same if we don't get concrete news to the contrary before deadline, hence why I will be waiting before making any move until the last minute. In a weird way though I kind of hope he is confirmed out; forces my hand into doing something a bit more exciting..redcat1 wrote:I'm sticking with him, surely he'll be fine for sunday

Remember removing wisdom teeth is common for players who have hamstring issues, so it may not be a case of just playing through pain.
I have no idea how they are connected though.

Re: Hazard's Teeth
I think Hazard will definitely miss out. Why? Because a Mourinho team is always well-drilled.

Re: Hazard's Teeth
If they want to retain the crown next year, maybe Chelsea should snap up Harry Kanine to make their front row more incisive. Getting in Lee Catermolar and Morgan Amalgamfitano would add a bit of bite to their midfield too....

Re: Hazard's Teeth
I can see Cuadrado filling in for him as he's as fast as whitening. Hazard will probably brush this off but it's also possible he'll have a falling out with Mourinho over not playing.

Re: Hazard's Teeth
Hazard's caries at its brightest right now, so I'm confident that Hazard is eager not to miss the final game of his crown-winning season. He will milk some final goals. Sunderland played offensively and thus had serious cavities in their defensive lines against Arsenal (Pantilimon barely brushed the ball from the line several times), so this might enamel Hazard to erupt and score a brace, as someone already mentioned. Definitely not removing him, might even give him the (C)alcium for differential. Mourinho's press conference is not to be trusted, Hazard will play unless this really is some sort of a major acci-dent.

Re: Hazard's Teeth
The WBA-Chelsea game could have been so different last week had Andre Wisdom played - I think he would have been taken out a few times by Hazard in that game.

Re: Hazard's Teeth
Having them out should improve his dribbling (at least for a few days) .
I don't see why they would risk infection or rupturing stitches for a meaningless game. He'll be dosed up and feeling groggy. Can't see him putting in a stellar performance if he does play.
As for replacements. I think Yaya is preferable if you don't have Silva but less attractive if you do. Assuming you have Aguero too, then 3 Man City is too much I think this week.
Hull have to win. There will be gaps in behind I think, so Mata looks a good bet.

Re: Hazard's Teeth
Your team has been very similar to mine for much of the season Mose, and should he be confirmed out I think I will go for Mata. Frees up enough funds to also bring in Benteke or Lukaku. Means keeping my three arsenal players, but it's a bit of a lottery with the rotation there, and I'm not brave enough to risk removing the wrong one.MoSe wrote:hhmmm....
