GW10 Captain Poll

Post by Pirlo's Beard »

As long as there remains a bit of doubt regarding Costa and his potential fitness/availability, I think I'll keep the armband away from him. I'm backing Agüero to expose United's soft centre this weekend.

Agüero (C)
Welbeck (V)

Costa (c)

Aguero (vc)

Figure Costa will either play or he won't, no in between.

Agüero at the Etihad versus United's vulnerability is tempting.

However, the Hazard points haul arrives this week.

United are the form team, that sensational last minute 'equaliser' might have well been the winning goal in the CL final the way van Persie celebrated it.

They will go into Sunday full of beans after managing to draw the game..

Sure, but what if he starts and his injury plays up, or he's taken off early if they get the job done quickly...hmm

Edit. Nice dilemma to have tho :)

I try not to think like that as injury could happen to anyone.

Aguero could pull up or Sanchez get a concussion.

Obviously true, but he is only just coming back from injury...so increased risk of a reoccurrence. Will change my mind on this a lot over the next few days...

Costa (c)
Aguero (vc)

Aguero will do well at home to United, but agree with those saying they'll be buoyed after the finish to the Chelsea game. Chelsea are going to smash QPR to pieces and I expect Costa to play. (Liking the Hazard shout too, think he'll score really well this week).

I'm a boring and sensible person when it comes to FPL.

Costa has injury/selection issues? He doesn't get the armband.

Take it away, Kun.

Costa (C), Agüero (V). Same reasoning as already given, might bottle it though.

Costas's little yellow flag just got a wee bit lighter in the last few mins. Now on 75% chance of playing.

Probably just scaremungering but another poster suggested he might get rested for important CL match next week.

He has had a week off, can't see him being rested at all, anderlecht at home and being comfortable 2nd in the champs league group means burnley take priority surely?

Fabregas
Aguero

If Costa gets a hatload, I have no doubt Fab will be involved in the points too. Costas fall in ownership means his choice as a captain isn't as much of a requirement as it was.

Lukaku for me.

Fernandez suspended after his red card last night, Amat still out (or could be rushed back), leaving Bartley as only remaining CB to partner Williams.

Maybe Fabregas...
