Re: brains of fiso daily quiz
I normally have the German translations questions wrong and can't find an error on my part afterwards....

10/10
Second place 'only' on 7.
Two of you on a paltry 2.
We all get the same questions, right?

Re: brains of fiso daily quiz
Got two questions marked as wrong today but I knew both answers, one was missed with with no answer even though I thought I selected it and the other way not the answer I put in. First time in ages I knew all ten answers.

Re: brains of fiso daily quiz
The very first time and probably the only time I had 10 correct answers in a row.

Re: brains of fiso daily quiz
Funny game. Sometimes have streaks where it all goes well and other times get a run where all the guesses go the wrong way.
Just on a lucky streak lasting longer than normal, and when I’ve dropped points then other results have gone my way and I’ve not lost much ground.

Apparently I took 50078 seconds today. I did ponder question 8 but didn't think I'd taken that long.

I got today's answer in the Animal Question wrong, because the animal is another one in German and this animal was also available....... strange...

Re: brains of fiso daily quiz
Top scored again today. Yesterday my alleged time dropped me to last (despite outscoring everyone) but today my time dropped me to 3rd genuinely as it was a tie.
Malrom still 4th and would still be there on time tie-break if he had got the right animal.

Re: brains of fiso daily quiz
Yesterday I took just over 100 seconds and only got 1 right (of 10 non-educated guesses in a crap quiz!) so it scored me 0.
Fultonhagen also only got 1 right, taking much longer than me but also scored 0. Was, annoyingly, ranked ahead of me on the tie break for getting 0 points first, and so showing as getting 1 more point than me in the monthly comp.
Today, the 'top scores yesterday' omits both of us and the rest of you all get less points as it scores it as if only 6 played.
This game hates me.

Just came from the game and wanted to ask you why that's the case. Now I know.murf wrote: ↑08 Sep 2022, 08:34 Yesterday I took just over 100 seconds and only got 1 right (of 10 non-educated guesses in a crap quiz!) so it scored me 0.

Re: brains of fiso daily quiz
Maybe - but it wound me up by promising me points last night then just stealing them away this morning, airbrushing me (and my incompetence) from history.unc.si. wrote: ↑08 Sep 2022, 13:14Sounds like the game was just sparing your blushesmurf wrote: ↑08 Sep 2022, 08:34 Yesterday I took just over 100 seconds and only got 1 right (of 10 non-educated guesses in a crap quiz!) so it scored me 0.

Re: brains of fiso daily quiz
Oh I see, you would have got monthly points, even though you got 0 game points.
Yesterday was one of those pure guess rounds wasnt it? Seem to think the more likely sounding answers were wrong as well, making it harder to fluke a decent score. Think would have been more embarrassing to get 10 than 1

Re: brains of fiso daily quiz
The only half sensible question was about football - and that involved knowing who was involved in a meaningless 3rd play off at a World Cup 30 or so years ago (made amusing by the comment by the setter afterwards that is was a memorable world cup because the only UK team there was Ireland ).unc.si. wrote: ↑08 Sep 2022, 14:02 Oh I see, you would have got monthly points, even though you got 0 game points.

I would have missed the quiz today for the first time in a long while if I’d not seen this thread pop up again, so thanks for the inadvertent reminder Malrom
