2. Jimenez, Anderson  Vardy, Brooks

3. Jimenez, Snodgrass  King, Brooks/Barnes

I'd like to do 2 but Snodgrass blabbing his mouth means it'll probably have to be 3 instead.
Ended up doing 2 in the end for, ironically, 2 reasons...

1. I've heard the earliest Snodgrass can serve a ban will be GW33 which leaves him available for GW31 which is the game I want him for. I can always sell him going into GW33 if he does get banned.

2. King's away form is abysmal. His last attacking return away from home was literally back in early October.

As with my captain & Vice captain, I have changed plans and made 2 transfers for this week and next. Rice and Ake for Bamba and Duffy. I hope that gives me 2 free transfers for last weekend of march. Only problem, have no strikers playing next weekend. Oh well.

I want to do Jimenez to Wilson or Arnautovic but can’t guarantee either start so looking like king who I’m lukewarm about

Rashford  Aguero
Son  Lanzini
Jota  Harvey Barnes

I can't see a compelling counter argument for ignoring Aguero. Barnes is a punt but I'm surprised more aren't considering him, he looks like a player who could suddenly bang several in the net.

In order of most likely when fully fit:

Ake (cb)
Cook (cb)
Adam Smith (lb/lwb)
Clyne (rb/rwb)
Daniels (lcb/lwb)/mepham (cb)
Simpson (cb)

Note that Daniels has been playing as the left side in a back three so much fewer attacking returns. FWIW I’ve transferred in Smith, will play left wing or left wing back and gets down the wing. Bit of a card risk but also potential attacking returns. He’s looked great since returning from injury.

We tend to play a back 5 against the stronger team and away from home, back 4 against the lesser teams so more likely to be back four at the moment. I think mepham will continue to come in for cook (supposedly out another 5-6 weeks)

Thank you flare2, I'm also looking for a Bou defender to replace Shaw but with a budget of 4.8 Aké is out of reach. Adam Smith it is.

Jiménez  Vardy
Bennett  Bednarek (-4)

Not feeling confident tbh. Brought in Bednarek for the bench incase Alonso misses out. Have no City players either.

The absolute opposite is Watford fan forum, they are active too and post many pages to pre-match threads, but only very few posts are focused on possible lineups while the overwhelming majority of posts are just some general chat (a big part of posts not even football-related). Good for them but it's quite frustrating for an FPL manager!
Haha agreed.

I always enjoyed reading the RTG Sunderland forum.

Jota  Brooks

Did have a 2nd free to use which would have probably been Bennett to a CHE defender but I fancy Jimenez to do something against CHE so will roll that 2nd FT to next week.

I brought in Brooks and playing him over Jota, not sure if that's the best decision as it wouldn't surprise me to see Jota do well this weekend.

Sorry
Actually you were spot on so don't apologize. We were very unlucky with his injury.

Yes, although perhaps less spot on about this...

flare2 wrote: 05 Mar 2019, 23:33 The chat on the afcb message boards is Fraser could be dropped and I’m inclined to agree, he’s looked very tired. I think he will be back for NEW and BUR but not a guranteed starter for HUD (afcb fan)
I'm so glad I didn't take your advice.

Haha - yep! It was one of those things that I definitely wouldn’t have recommended taking him out just thought I’d flag the risk... from a non FPL view I’m glad he looked more lively today.

I’m erring towards him bringing him in over brooks. I’m not sure if there’s any correlation but I think Wilson and Fraser combine well.

I know it was only Hud but there definitely seemed more about Bournemouth today.

Yeah, I had noticed that Fraser's long dry spell more or less coincided with Wilson's period of injury, and I knew that Wilson was back (or very nearly back!). I gave serious thought to bringing in Brooks instead but I was put off by the fact he's regularly subbed off after 65-70 minutes, whereas Fraser usually completes the 90 (and Bournemouth are a side who will always attack until the very end).

I just had a good feeling about Wee Man and I'm glad I trusted my instincts on this one. Wilson to join him in my team this week. :)

Getting rid of Jota for Brooks was a miss but at least I got one thing right in this awful gameweek wrt Jimenez.
