Duffy and Bamba out for Rice and Alonso. Salah may go next week for Hazard/other with Zaha for Higuain. Might just wait until Friday afternoon/evening for manager's press conferences and decide late with CL in mind next week.

Alonso looks a severe rotation risk at the moment (maybe Luiz too?). Perhaps look at Azpili or Rudiger instead?

have the same on my radar but it will cost me a hit if I do it this week. Camarasa is at home, Brooks is away (ok, Huddersfield I grant you) so might hold fire or might just do it.

Stemania, I can only agree. I hadn't taken enough notice before you picked my comment out. I'm thinking maybe Azpili is best.

Pogba (Ars, bgw 31/33) >> Fraser (hud,NEW,BUR)
Jimi (che, bgw 31/33) >> Higuain (WOL,eve,WHU)
The chat on the afcb message boards is Fraser could be dropped and I’m inclined to agree, he’s looked very tired. I think he will be back for NEW and BUR but not a guranteed starter for HUD (afcb fan)

That’s annoying, but thanks for the warning Image

So...now have a decision between Brooks, or Maddison or Barnes of Leicester.

If I had the funds, I’d go Maddison. For me it’s between Brooks and Barnes. Was leaning towards the latter but I’m not sure he will start all PL games under Rodgers.

Plan is :

Son  Maddison
Arnautovic/Jimenez  Vardy

Would leave me with :

Maddison Mane Salah (c) Pogba
Vardy Higuain

Which means no City coverage. A bit weary as my rival has Sterling and is probably two transfers away from Aguero and they could stick a few past Watford but no simple way of getting any City coverage in without damaging the rest of my team.

Might do KDB to Tielemans actually.
Fulham will probably see this game as one they have to attack, which might play in the hand of Leicester's quick players (I hope). Can see this being a high scoring game.
KDB  Brooks instead.

It's not the price difference but moreover what I've seen of Brooks, his stats and the idea that it should take some time for Rodgers to get his team playing the way he wants. Not sure I trust Leicester enough.

Also having read some Leicester forum where it seems fans won't be surprised or want to see Maddison being benched as he hasn't been that good lately from what I'm reading. More tempted by Tielemans over Maddison as well. Already have Barnes.

Any Bournemouth fans know if Adam Smith is nailed on? Only attractive 31/33 defender I can afford to get in for Bednarek

That’s both Fraser and Maddison as possibly dropped/rested, meh.

Brooks or Barnes then, probably Brooks as he’s slightly more proven this season.

Good research there f4c. I had a glance after you mentioned and am quite surprised by the comments. They're in love with Tiele, but about half seem to indeed think Maddison (and Schmeichel) have been awful recently.

I still think I'll gamble on Maddison as it's only 3 weeks (30, 31, 33), Brendan will hopefully give him time before judging. The set pieces/advanced position are too alluring to me - Tiele could easily play in a double pivot if 4atb for the easier games.

Pogba to Maddison still my move this week then.

Thanks for the heads up though. :)

From FPL perspective I do like Leicester fan forums a lot, they are very active and a lot of quality analysis about possible lineups. The absolute opposite is Watford fan forum, they are active too and post many pages to pre-match threads, but only very few posts are focused on possible lineups while the overwhelming majority of posts are just some general chat (a big part of posts not even football-related). Good for them but it's quite frustrating for an FPL manager!

Are people going for TAA over VVD for price reasons, or coz he's generally more attacking? I think I can go for VVD instead without hindering my team too much, and am tempted by his more secure starts and not being as prone to injury too.

I think TAA is likely to score more points whenever he plays, but you are right he is perhaps slightly more likely to miss some minutes because of a slight rotation risk and his tendency to get injured. Personally I'd still rather have TAA even if they were at equal price, and I definitely wouldn't hinder my team in order to get VVD over TAA.

1. Jimenez  King

2. Jimenez, Anderson  Vardy, Brooks

3. Jimenez, Snodgrass  King, Brooks/Barnes

I'd like to do 2 but Snodgrass blabbing his mouth means it'll probably have to be 3 instead.

I was going to do Gunnarrson to Brooks or Pedro or Lanzini and bench boost this week, getting the benefit of my GW31 and 33 transfers in AND the good players who blank next week.

BUT
a massive spanner has been thrown in the works because I have Arnautvoic Yedlin and Snodgrass. I know Snodgrass is a bit of a rotation risk but so frustrting to see Yedlin has missed 2 in a row and Arnautovic now seems to be behind Javier Hernandez in the West Ham pecking order.
I have no playing GK but I'd prefer to get 3 good players with good fixtures now, than weave it in to the DGWs if possible.
Presuming this was a good idea cna give me encouragement to still do it? Any likelihood of these players returning? I am obviously gonig to feel stupid if these 3 players turn out to be just 1 or 2.
I can hope with saving it but just hopnig the best laid plans can be used somehow.
Press confrences offered no encouragement.

If you play your wildcard smartly you will have a better bench later, even if it would include just minimum price SGW players.

I think you are right - especially as I will obviously be able to have a playing keeper by that point. Just a teeny bit frustrating that my plans haven't worked out though I'd rather acknowledge that now than after the event when my BB gets me 1 point or something!
