Bernardo Silva

Pick n stick with him as will be one of citys main/consistant players??(seems a bargain at 3.5m) or gonna get hit as hard as any other city mid (except kdb) with rotation??

The time has come for the mantle to be passed over from David Silva to Bernardo Silva.

I'll be looking at bringing him into a few teams this weekend - probably for some Keitas as they are similar price range.

Right now he is the cheapest way into the city midfield. Pep loves him and he is clearly in decent form. Until his minutes drop il be keeping him. If he does start to dramatically drop minutes then very easy to swap him out for a keita/richarlson/neves. Or even switch to 4-3-3 and go Laporte/Bailly/stones. So plenty of options and having 3 transfers a month makes it easier to chop and change.

As Blockhead says same price range as Keita and a better alternative for points on the board in my opinion.

richarlison looked great last season until the manager--everton scandal broke then he tailed off like the team did..started off well again so looks a possible great bargain
bernardo silva looked good at times last season while he was integrated in but yeah man city have so many options you never quite know who pep will pick..i like him but a risk for this game
id also add ruben neves as he seems to have carried on his form from the championship looking at Saturdays match..his pass for the second goal was wonderful on top of that great free kick

Be interesting to see if/ how the above poll changes,if KDB's confirmed out for the next few months.

For those thinking about Bernardo Silva do yous see him playing ahead of David Silva?

If you have Fernandindo and say now Gundogan in midfield now that KDB is out you have 3 attacking midfield places for Sane/Sterling/Mahrez/D Silva/b Silva.

Does Bernardo Silva feature in the strongest 3?

While I do believe he will get enough minutes people seem to think he's a guaranteed starter now that KDB is injured but I don't necessarily think that is the case.

When D Silva returns we'll know a little more, wouldn't be too shocked if Foden grabbed himself some minutes while De Bruyne is out?

I think overall, Bernardo played 50+ games for City last season.... but a majority of which were from the bench so his minutes were quite low.

Given he is David Silva's long-term replacement and that David will more than likely be leaving City when his contract expires in summer 2020; I'd assume Bernardo would be given more minutes and David will be used sparingly.

David Silva last season was excellent. He has also retired from international football which would signal he intends to give it his all the next few years before winding down his career.

David Silva will not be used sparingly. He is far from finished and still has couple of top years in him.

The problem with City players is you always need a spare transfer slot for when Pep messes around with his team selection.

I rate B Silva highly however for the Sun game he's a risk, for other ff games where you get plenty of transfers the risk is less if you have transfers to burn.

i dont agree - risk is less in sun game where if you dont use your transfers in a given month you lose them. So you can / 'are forced' to rotate more

David will play in possibly 25/30 big matches, 10 games premier league, 10 Champs league hopefully more and 5 other games. Leaving 35 easier games for Bernardo Silva to play in. He will get more game time and easier fixtures! So price and easier fixtures should produce more points this year. Hopefully, David is a world class player, Bernardo is just good, but in that strong City team/ squad,I have gone Bernardo this time. Not a David in sight, who in my eyes is brilliant! Just my opinion, who knows.

I've resisted Bernard, nearly got him for Moura but somthing didbt feel right .unless he starts doing an annoying Shaq and scoring every week I'll try and get better . His stats are abysmal, one shot one goal last gw. I'd rather wait for Dilva. Reckon one of Mahrez or Bilva will be dropped when Dilva returns

Football Manager has Mahrez and Bernardo with the next best ratings for free-kicks after KdB.

And that is why David Silva is still going to very much be in Peps strongest teams this season. Someone saying he may play 10 games in the league.

Not just that goal as it isn't trademark but his overall performance. He's still miles ahead of Bernardo Silva.
