Port
Anybody know anything about Port (the drink not Dover, Hull & co)
I like a bottle but know nothing about it except that I like LBV (Late Bottled Vintage) and usually have a bottle on the go at this time of year. This year however LBV seems quite rare in the supermarkets when there used to be 2 or 3 brands/offers to choose form. So...
1. Has LBV been rebranded as anything else?
2. Is it just out of favour?
3. Any recommendations for a similar style and cheapness of port? (trying one at the moment that I'm not impressed by)

Re: Port
Funnily enough just been to Waitrose to pick up a couple of parcels and looked at the wines and spirits to see what was on offer. Didn't buy anything but they definitely had some Taylors LBV in stock at about £11.
I usually get a few bottles of LBV, a 20 year old or so Tawny and a couple of bottles of cheaper Ruby over Christmas.
Got a nice bottle of Ferreira White Port in the fridge as well for Christmas (from Porto airport, which is a great place to pick it up from, although obviously not all that convenient).

Re: Port
Unfortunately Waitrose is about as convenient as Porto for me!
Did manage to get an LBV a couple of weeks back but can't remember where from. Unfortunately Mrs m liked it too, so it didn't last long.

Re: Port
Amazon is actually very good for the difficult to get stuff.
So what is this White Port about? I'm not big on the Red, but then I'm not big on Red Wine.
