Johnmc. Very well done so far. 18th place with 23 transfers is outstanding. I imagine most of those above you will have used a lot more. Salah in an attacking Liverpool team is a must have. You have to find a way of getting him. I have Pope and I don't think Heston will be back this year tho like you I have no information to confirm that. Good luck !

I hate using a transfer on a keeper but what are peoples' thoughts on Pope, I have De Gea, at the moment. If I commit to the transfer, I will have enough funds to bring Salah in for Doucoure.
My concerns are compounded by the worry that Heaton will return and replace Pope, which would the force me into another two transfers to bring back another keeper. All I've been able to find on Heaton, is that when he injured his shoulder, that he would be out for months. I've been unable to find any recent news. The way Pope has performed I would hope that he could keep his place, on merit.
At present I've got Wednesday the 29th November pencilled in as Utd then play Arsenal and City, directly after this.
You're answering your own question John. If Heaton comes back you come unstuck. I have a lot of De Geas for the record, because there is a good chance he will be top of the pile come May and IF last season is anything to go on he will play in the FA Cup as well. How about Ryan at Brighton. They look pretty solid.

Best team: 74 with 1 to play

First time I break the 1k barrier (overall rank: 882)

I am enjoying fantasy football this season.

You can't have everyone! But you can have DDG and Salah. Sacrifice a similarly priced player instead. DDG and Doucoure are too good to lose but get Salah in at all costs.

I think I might just leave my top team as it is for now. I could go or a straight swap with Richalison but this would not then allow me to rotate Kane, Lakaku, Morata and Aguero. I have Jesus (as a permanent fix) and at present have Lakaku and Morata.
On the up side, though, if I do the straight swop at least I can't be tempted into doing any transfers for a while. I'll just have to hide behind the couch every time Kane and Aguero play.

I'd gladly sacrifice a little forward rotation flexibility to allow a Richarlison to Salah upgrade, waiting to raise cash next time I transfer..... but maybe that is why my TFF record isn't as good as yours!

I hate it behind the settee though.
I just can't stop the nervous shaking, with my eyes shut, and my ears fully open, reciting "our Fiso god" over 200 times per 45 minutes. Only coming out at half time for a quick cup of tea and then resuming the natal position, behind the settee, for the 2nd half and praying to our Fiso, for another 45 minutes.

With Aguero you only need to be behind the sofa when he actually plays - so the carpet behind your sofa will be largely wear-free! Kane has faded a bit lately too (my team in 20th with no transfers didn't have him and was smiling yesterday until 3pm when it didn't have Salah either. Now 38th!)

Let's hope he get's a brace and then there's no lost ground on not having Salah. :D

I've also got a team that's 6 transfers, better off, in 118th place on 727 points. This will most probably be the team that I will bring Salah into. It also means dropping De Gea for Pope. At least I've got 10 days to mull it over.

I'm not sure any manager has ever been glad they signed Andy Carroll. Fantasy football or real world.
