Race for the top spot is interesting. I think Costa's modal average is eight points...
Harvey's got to be putting a few £k on Costa scoring........
I wouldn't, it could be drawing then Costa score get a couple or even three in extra time. You can't cover that at the bookies.

He will get at least 3rd even with a hat trick anyway so he wouldn't walk away with nothing
Oh well........
you know it was 5/6 on, you would have to be putting quite a few grand on it to make it worthwile. Just saying wouldn't myself, he has still won over 100k what would a couple of extra £k make anyway.

Costa was 4/1 later on. I'd of had a grand on that.

It took a lot of self control not to press the button bringing him into one's team. :D

It's been a difficult 45 mins viewing with that makeshift Palace defence looking dodgy, especially early on.
Self control isn't always good.

If I'd done Jesus on May 6th, instead of Costa on the 8th, I'd have won by one pt. A £190,000 mistake! Far worse than in 2004 when I made a £42,000 mistake in YTM.

So onto next season. :D

So Unlucky there Striker. You have probably made similar wrong turns earlier on in the Season with the odd Transfer but it stands out so much more at the Business end. I was a little surprised at all the Love for Costa in the Last Window (Hindsight though) as he isn't the most Prolific scorer and is such a liability. Jesus did look a good pick but You/We didn't know how much he would be affected by the Injury he sustained. He could have come back a bit cautious and misfiring. It's affected Players before. Well done on 3rd an amazing Place to Finish. :)

Well done CBN. So close but really Well Played. Enjoyed keeping an eye on your Team as it Yo Yoed in the Top 50. :D

Finished 83rd in The End. Best ever for me and what I was hoping for. :D

Well done to everyone else winning Prizes. :)

Yes unlucky at the end there David. It's easy to think about decisions which could have won, done the same thing myself on several occasions (although not costing me as much as that). But you made plenty of good decisions along the way, and your wait and see approach worked quite a few times, when the rest of us were stuck with injured players you always seemed to have one left.

So I prefer to congratulate you on coming 1st in the Latcomers and 3rd overall. £25k is still a very nice return for the season.

I was pondering at the start of the Latecomers if I should bother putting my best team (which was then in the overall top 20) into the latecomers, reasoning that if that does well enough to get anything in the latecomers then it would be almost bound to get at least in overall top 10 anyway. Wrong! It managed a top 100 finish in that, but was nowhere near top 10 in the overall, although it did still make top 100 overall. We live and learn.

Like you say, roll on next season. :)

Congratulations, striker and Simon . Both of you played great. It was great watching you from afar .

I finished 66th overall in the seasonal .
Made a crazy transfer move at the beginning of the month which cost me 40 places .
I was 25th at the start of the month . There was only one above me with 4 Spurs defenders and none with a full Spurs block .
There was no point being placed between 11-100 as the cash prize was the same . So to have a differential , I brought in Firminho instead of Sanchez which backfired massively .

The whole of this year I pingponged between 24 and 100th position . So many games went by when Spurs would concede just 1 goal or just concede right at the death . Just like CBN's Chelsea block , I had so many games where Spurs conceded just 1 goal which meant loosing 25 points , if not more each game .
When I finally hit 24th position , I thought I might break into top 10 if Spurs kept clean sheets in the final month .

That's my story for this year - my best season to date at 66th.

One more game to go next Saturday . Let's see who gets the upper hand - juve or Madrid ? Lee or me ?

Huge congratulations to the winners

I don't remember two players sharing top spot at the end of the season before, so how does this work when it comes to the photoshoot, do you both hold up the giant novelty cheque at the same time :D

Let's all hope CBN is up at the top next season too, otherwise we all know he wouldn't be arsed to post these nicely multi coloured tables throughout the season :D

Not been contacted as yet by the sun but would imagine that Harvey and myself will each be presented with a cheque for £112.500.
