Hughes on Butland recall - "This weekend is a possibility of course, but I will see how he goes in training today"

Vokes and Arfield "touch and go" for Burnley's clash with Man United. Gudmundsson back in contention

Gabriel Jesus took part in training today and could make the City squad for Sundays semi-final. Looking "much better" according to Pep.

It's the same question as: "Are there any press conferences today?" ;)

Haha yes, I was just referring to Pulis' weekly habit of telling they have a few knocks and Matty is getting better.

"It is not a serious problem but it will be difficult [for Cahill] to play tomorrow."

Courtois seems to be fit. Nothing on Alonso as of yet.

Mourinho's presser -
“Eric Bailly has played six matches in a row – 540 minutes in a row,”

“We lost Marcos Rojo, we don’t have Jones, we don’t have Smalling.

“We are in trouble and, now, we lose Zlatan too but, in attack, we have options: Rooney is coming and let’s see if Mata can also return before the end of the season. Let’s see what happens.

“Herrera plays [against Burnley]. He didn’t play on Thursday – one yellow card and he would have missed the semi-finals. I was thinking about him and [fellow substitute Marouane] Fellaini both at the same time but, because I made a change with Marcos Rojo, I couldn’t do that and he didn’t play.

“So Herrera is fresh to play. Ashley Young is fresh to play and who else? Nobody else is fresh to play! Now we need absolutely everyone and I don’t have to think about Axel Tuanzebe going to the Under-20 World Cup in Korea because maybe Axel has to come now. We need everybody.”
Doesn't sound too optimistic for us Bailly owners for the Burnley game. Maybe he'll play Blind/Tuanzebe at the back. So I should probably start Ashley Barnes :P

I wonder if it's even worth bringing Bailly in after hearing that. I could easily do Foster to De Gea instead of Holebas to Bailly. Maybe that's the smarter move.

Is Tuanzebe a CB? Do we really think Mourinho will start him over Bailly?

Sky Sports reporting that Zlatan is likely to miss the remainder of the season.

Dinnery -so no press conference- on the availability of a few players:
Bailly's & Blind - "Both could feature [in both DGW games]. Players are still being checked. Blind is well-placed."

Rashford - "My concern is that Rashford played 120 minutes on Thursday. Could be rested."

Alonso - "No mention from Conte but Alonso did return to training earlier this week."

Jesus (& Agüero) - "Pep said he would play two up front. Jesus is not ready to start just yet."

They do. Pulis also has one or two situations that need to be checked.

I believe FFS twittered this a day before his press conference this week actually.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is said to have ruptured both his anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments ruling him out for up-to a year.

Tests confirm Marcos Rojo has suffered a torn ACL with the Argentine defender expected to undergo reconstructive surgery.

One thing's for sure: both out for months.

Shoot. That's terrible news for Zlatan. Probably career-ending one would think. Shame. He was a true great.

Terrible news, I really feel for him, seems like such a nice guy. Though I reckon a year or two in MLS is still on the cards.

Excuse me, I recognise the champion, I'm sorry for the injury, but it might have been just bad press, it might have been a bad-guy character public image, but he has always come across to me exactly as the opposite of a nice guy.
Always careless, rude, disrespectful.

To the point that I found difficult to cheer for him when he was key to bring Milan our last Serie A title. Only after he was gone I realised the excellent seasons the likes of Robinho and Nocerino had, were totally due to Ibra's presence in the squad

It's a pity, at his age, the longer the recovery, the harder the comeback.

Aguero and Silva took part in a recovery session today. Early signs are good ahead of the derby. No Fernandinho.

'Oxlade-Chamberlain will be assessed after leaving Wembley on crutches 'more of a precaution'. Question marks over him following the FA Cup win. "It was not for a bad injury. We'll test him." Rest of the squad should be OK.'

'Agüero will be fine for the derby. Silva "hoping" to feature. Pep will make a decision closer to kick-off.'

'Guzan looks set to continue in goal as Valdés struggles to shake-off a rib injury.'

The Valdes situation might bring a fair few Jakus off benches I'd have thought.

More on Boro -
Victor Valdes has a rib injury so will miss out.

“Grant Leadbitter and Marten de Roon have trained this morning.

“Everyone else is fit.”

Was Guzan at fault for many of Bournemouth's goals?

Slight worry now that Dimitrios Konstantopoulos plays tomorrow :?

Hull successfully appeal Oumar Niasse’s dismissal vs Watford. He is available for selection with immediate effect.
