Annoyed that I missed the chance to record it.
Was an hour into the +1 version before I realised it was on.

A goodie tonight at 00.45 on Horror

Exam - the perils of recruitment. 8 hopefulls attend a test to get a lucrative job with violent results. There is only one question which they have to figure out.

Great ending - and tense throughout

8/10

Blue is the warmest colour an award winning French Film. A character based film centring around love, class and sexuality. very good and superbly acted by the lead girl.

The one complaint was that there was too much lesbian sex   it's the main theme of the film but it all got a bit tedious and seemed too gratuitous (Christ how old am I)?!!! Seriously they could have skimmed about a third off the running time without detracting from it.

I think it depends when and where you watch this film. My mate watched it on the plane and had to do a quick stop lol. It was a good film was it the unedited version ....

Yeh, glad I hadn't loaded it on to the iPad for a train journey!

I'm assuming it was the unedited version.

I watched this earlier this year and thought it was excellent. Stiffler from American Pie acted his socks off

Suntan was on Film4 not too long ago.

A middle-aged doctor gets infatuated with a young woman on a hedonistic Greek Island. It's mainly set on a nudist beach and despite a fair few todgers flapping about in the sunshine, it's actually pretty good.

Also The World's End is on film 4 tonight at 9. Only seen it once - not the best of the three but worth a 2nd go

Finally got round to watching Dogtooth

Utterly bonkers indeed ☺

Loved it - 9/10

Totally unique and probably madder than Yellowbrickroad (just)

Just watching this again, and I'd go 9, with the too much sex sex costing it a 10.

I believe that the realness of it meant a delay of the release as one or more actress objected.

If you like this then I can heartedly recommend:
Four Minutes (German)
Thirst (Korean) - the best Vampire movie I have seen, and I loathe vampire movies
Coldfish (Korean) - apparently a true story
Girl on a Bridge (French) - Mlle Paradis made some brilliant films and I'd include Noce Blanche and Cafe de Fleur
(German) anything with Martina Gedeck (think of a German Meryl Streep)
As if I'm not there.

Cheers, will add them to my watch list (although with the death (or too problematic to make me dare switch it on any more) of my Kodi box) no idea when i'll get to watch them.

Im a sucker for foreign language films.

Identity is one of my favorite movies. It's not perfect, but I remember that I really liked it when I saw it. Completely had forgotten of its existence (at lest 10 years since I watched it)

Identity does have its faults towards the end but the story and acting are excellent - great the 1st time you see it - no one could predict the murderer. Still on Sky movies.

Midnight express is also on Sky at the moment - good to see they are going for more interesting movies. Maybe they are worried about losing customers to Netflix

Enjoyed 21 Josh - fun for us gambling addicts 😊

The Connection a French film based on true events and focuses on the French side of the story also portrayed in The French Connection (which I’ve never seen).

French gangster (and drug smuggler) is chased by a local judge (although he’s more cop than judge).

Thought it was ok and worth a watch - although I have just finished watching 3 series of Italian mobster based drama Gomorrah (and I think the main character in this has Neopolitan links).

Did you get to watch it?

It is really good, and I'm beginning to think the too much (explicit) sex has a point.... as the film is actually quite sweet and innocent, with the Garden Party kinda thing very poignant.
