2018 SBru 6x Nations Fantasy Cup - Champion: Boddington - join NOW!!
A side game of SuperBru (who specialise in Prediction Games) is their Fantasy Team games which run in parallel ...
This year was the first year that they ran Fantasy 6x Nations and a small number of us got involved ...
The Winner in this was salop27 ....
Of course, there is a cup .... but being a smaller competition its a smaller cup
CONGRATULATIONS nonetheless !!
Hopefully next year there may be more participants ...

Give me a nudge next 6 Nations.
Well done to Salops, he'd have to change his name if he entered a French Comp.

Try your hand at the Hong Kong Sevens ... it is ridiculously easy at first, then gets tough on day 2.jimmy ching wrote:Give me a nudge next 6 Nations.
Once you do, I'll remember you for all Rugby comps that SuperBru run.
PS: Jimmy,
SuperBru run a Top14 Predictions comp that I would expect you to waltz away with each year.
Why have u not signed up yet?

Other than the somewhat clunky RBS official game I haven't seen any other fantasy rugby game this year. Have you?
I kinda liked the Chroma/Silent Manager ones when they are played.
You will note I've pasted a question you raised in a PM to me (above) which I thought the answer might be of interest to others so I'm answering it here.
There are a number of Fantasy Rugby options, many which I dislike because they are too fond of large images / icons etc which don't necessarily display well on (small) mobile apps, and who don't reflect team announcements (so you can pick players who wont be playing). But these are others that I'm aware of:
The Clunky RBS 6x Nations game you are referring to is this. I would agree. Clunky. Alternatives are:
ESPN 6x Nations found here. Also clunky.
The Irish Times also usually run a similar Fantasy 6x Nations but no sign of it yet. My least favourite.
Test Rugby run an icon free but difficult to get excited about and extraordinarily clunky verion here (as they do for SuperRugby).
all apart from SuperBru which I prefer because it minimises on use of icons & images whilst providing accurate info on team announcements at a glance closer to the deadlines so that it shows you who has been picked and who is on the bench (or not picked at all).
Short answer is - its up to yourself, but I like SuperBru which offers you three options for 6x Nations - Prediction, Fantasy or if you prefer a Quickpick verion of Fantasy Rugby, SuperStars
Hope u enjoy whichever one you decide to participate in!!

All of my previous reply ignores completely the existence of other Northern Hempishpere comps:
AVIVA Premiership - SuperBru prediction only
Pro12 - SuperBru prediction and Guinness Pro12 Fantasy version.
Top 14 (France) - SuperBru prediction only
European Rugby Champions Cup - SuperBru prediction only
European Rugby Challenge Cup - SuperBru prediction only
Green King IPA Championship - SuperBru prediction only, but no FISO League set up
and Southern Hemisphere rugby in the form of:
Varsity Rugby (South African Universities) - SuperBru prediction only, but no FISO League set up
Hong Kong Premiership - SuperBru prediction only, but no FISO League set up
Currie Cup Rugby (Aug-Oct) - SuperBru prediction and UDT Fantasy version closer to the date
ITM Cup Rugby (Aug-Oct) - SuperBru prediction only
The (4x Nations) Rugby Championship (Aug-Sep) - SuperBru prediction and UDT Fantasy version closer to the date
and the BIG competition:
Super Rugby (starts February-Aug) - SuperBru Prediction, SuperBru Fantasy and SuperBru SuperStars versions, in addition to UDT SuperRugby Fantasy, Fox Sports SuperRugby Fantasy and TEST Rugby SuperRugby Fantasy (not in 2017 though).
and
Sevens Rugby World Cup (round 3 Jan 27th) - SuperBru prediction only
IN SUMMARY:
SuperBru run Prediction competitions for ALL of the above (I set up a FISO League for each with the exception of Varsity Rugby, HK Premiership and IPA Green King)
and there are Fantasy games for the Guinness Pro12 whilst in the Super Rugby there are games run by SuperBru; UDT; and Fox Sports with all the links provided above.
That's a pretty comprehensive response to your question I hope, which might be useful for everyone.
cheers,
Mick
