Really really like this song. This is a fanvid apparently...I assume that means they put the song over some pre-existing footage...if a fan has created this solely for the video then kudos for their effort and high production values.

This track seems to be right at the top of 6music's playlist, and Radcliffe & Maconie seem to play him a lot in general. I ain't complaining on either count!

Kicking but not very Euro

Still a 'proper' song though

Love this. First single from the Super Furries since 2009. Totally pysched out/vocoder/synth nuts. True to the SFA brand 8-)

If you like deep, meaningful lyrics, you may be disappointed.

Been listening to 'I'm your fan' today - tribute album to Leonard Cohen.

Pixies covering I can't forget, REM's version of 'First we take Manhatten, Ian McCullochs 'Hey thats no way to say goodbye and especially John Cale's Hallelujah are magnificent.

Might be blasphemy around here but I even prefer Cales version to Jeff Buckleys.

Music needs the great songwriters like Cohen, Waits, Nick Cave, Dylan that don't just write 3 minute pop songs.

Leonard Cohen might not be writing any more, but his words will live on for a long long time.

Mac is\was a weird one - complete dick, but great lips, hair and voice at times.

No blasphemy here as he wasn't as good as his dad.

Dylan gets to much flak, imho, especially re his later stuff was pants for example:

Big blasphemy.

Cohen did write good songs. Shame he couldn't arrange them or sing! Actually half like his new single which had the odd play on 6 Music.

Love REM's First We Take Manhattan.

I'm old enough to remember that if you play Bruce Springsteen's Born To Run LP at 45rpm it sounds like Dolly Parton!

For all the rather tiresome twitter sparring, the Gallagher boys have a couple of great tunes out at the moment :-

In the red corner, I give you Noel. It's sort of glam rock meets Lieutenant Pigeon meets the Inspiral Carpets. So bloody catchy though.

In the blue corner, I give you Liam, with his better vocal performance for many moons :

If you didn't like Oasis, you probably won't like either song but I reckon they're both bang on.

Also I stumbled upon this :-

Simply gorgeous and I got all excited but then realised it was recorded around the time of OK Computer. For me that was Radiohead at their best. Quite a few cameos in the clever video too.

Noels is atrocious... cant pin my finger on the intro (is it roxy music)?

Liam's is more tolerable in a Lennon parody kind of way.

Love the Radiohead track and as you say, great video.

Both Gallagher songs are dreadful. Noel’s slightly less banal. Liam might as well just start covering Beatles tracks.

Probably the best track on the Oknotok disk 2. Interesting back story too, almost like they were afraid to include it as it might have made them massive in a different way to what they'd become anyway.

He even resorted to covering an Oasis song on Later. He ruined it too.

I really like Oasis but I have to say both of those Gallagher tracks are truly awful.

Liam's voice is terrible. I saw him a few years ago at Glasto and thought it was bad then - It's even worse now! I actually find it painful to watch.

Reform Oasis for one last mega pay day and then wrap it up lads.
