Re: FISO.co.uk Championship 2016
Hi everybody!
I'd like to invite you to join the PFRL game and compete to each other in your very own private league.
The name of the league is FISO.co.uk Championship 2016 and the password to join is fisof1.
You can run 2 teams in the league, and there are unlimited changes before the start of the season.
The league is shown here: http://www.pfrl.net/FRL/1/PFRL_LigaErg. ... D=0&LID=66
All you need to do is Register, then pick your team (it takes less than a minute), then join the league (select it from dropdown Individual private leagues and insert the league PW).
Game principle: You pick a team from a limited budget and get points based on the real life performance of your team's components. The value of your team components changes from race to race according to their performance. You are able to develop your team (3 team component changes after each race are possible.)
Rules are here: http://www.pfrl.net/FRL/1/PFRL_Rules1.a ... LA=En&ID=0, scoring is available on a separate tab of the same link.
No fees, no prices, but a lot of fun

Looks like it's just about impossible to have one of the top drivers in your teams

Re: 2016 Fantasy Formula 1 (PFRL.net)
Tricky, I'll agree. But last year they were more expensive and I think I had Vettel in for most of the season. If everybody had Hamilton in their team It would boring. Better if nobody can afford him perhaps.polarbear wrote:Looks like it's just about impossible to have one of the top drivers in your teams

This is part of the game. You'll get up to 2 Mio. extra-money after each race. So you are able to improve your team from race to race.polarbear wrote:Looks like it's just about impossible to have one of the top drivers in your teams

7 teams have joined so far. The PFRL Database closes at 19.03.2016 04:00:00 (Server time, GMT +01:00, = Start of Free Practice 3). So don't forget to update your teams.
And it's still enough time to register and join the competition!

Re: 2016 Fantasy Formula 1 (PFRL.net)
Question to Maverick, for the benefit of all ...
What exactly defines the increase in budget after each race?
If you can enlighten me (us) I'd welcome it ...

Re: 2016 Fantasy Formula 1 (PFRL.net)
PFRL Component values:
Race victory: driver + 1Mio.
Race victory + 2nd place by one F1 team: Chassis, engine +1 Mio.
DNF driver: - 1Mio.
DNF driver 1 and 2 from one team: Chassis, engine –1 Mio.
After race 3 the component values will rise or fall according their overall scores. Underrated components (cheap and many points) will rise, overrated components (expensive and lower scores) will fall. This is a slow process and is executed according to a formula which is available on the PFRL rules page.
Race 3 is the first money making race. Ensure that you pick underrated components before this race. Most likely the Prime tires and Stoffel Vandoorne (if he manage to complete at least 10 laps in Bahrain) will rise. Choose a lower priced team principle with a good overall score. Haas components are very hot at the moment.

Thanks for the tips - there is quite a lot of new features with this game that are not in other games, so the advice is very much appreciated.MaverickF1 wrote:PFRL Component values:

Re: 2016 Fantasy Formula 1 (PFRL.net)
Statement from the PFRL forum:
Cost adjustments after race 3:
PFRL has taken some measures before the season to avoid extraordinary component cost adjustments after race 3:
The average of 96 rankings suggested by PFRL players was used for the initial component values.
The possibility of an optional component cost adjustment after the pre-season test sessions was added to the rules. Unfortunately, the test results were not clear enough to perform a cost adjustment.
After 2 races, it is quite obvious that the results of Romain Grosjean and his Haas Team are far over the expectations. Thereby Romain Grosjean and the Haas chassis are extremely undervalued. This is also reflected in the team compositions. Romain Grosjean is represented in more than 43% and the Haas chassis in more than 63% of the PFRL teams.
That is why PFRL have to perform an extraordinary cost adjustment after race 3 to ensure an exciting game play. The details of this measure can be found in the rules under point 4.2. Resources Restriction Agreement (RRA).
An extraordinary component cost adjustment does not simply follow the current ranking according to the overall scores. Dropouts or non-participations are taken into consideration. A certain space for regular cost adjustments in the following races is also necessary.
Important: Prior to an extraordinary cost adjustment, a regular cost adjustment according to the rules point 4.1 is performed. That means, that all team budgets profit (or suffer) from these regular component price changes depending on the selected team components.
All players are confronted with a new prize situation after the 3rd race. That possibly requires an adaptation of the previous team strategy, because some components could be too expensive for the available team budget. PFRL offers automated suggestions based upon the projected points on the team edit page.
