Sterling Ramsey was done last night.

Apparently Ramsey had the wrong bib on in trainings may not start today. I was tempted by the same move but that news put me off.

I also toyed with the idea to take out Sterling for Ramsey but I decided to keep hold and have two free transfers again next week. Let's hope that this Newcastle - Liverpool game in the PL will continue to have goals, as they have never been goalless, and that Sterling will finally bring home a lot of points in his (temporary) farewell match for my team.

Wow, I don't like those moves at all I'm afraid to say.

But, I must admit, if Sterling doesn't perform this week he'll have to go from my team too as he'll be shedding money even faster than he is now. I really don't like the idea of two non-playing subs, which I think is what Taylor and Bruce will soon become. For your sake I hope you're right about Taylor keeping his place long term, but I very much doubt it tbh and as a Newcastle fan certainly hope he won't.

Big week for many it looks like - lots of hits taken in midfield in this thread - all eyes on Sanchez, Hazard, ADM and Sterling. There's going to be some unhappy posters later tonight whichever way it goes. Will the gambles pay off, or will patience prove key?

You don't have to, they are not yours and while I have more points than you I will trust my judgement over yours plus being a Newcastle fan doesn't mean you pick the team and they've done better since he came back so it's a gamble that is no drama either way, they may be non playing subs soon but I'm only interested in now as they are not season keepers obviously.

Not fussed about the bench right now, in a commanding position in my leagues and bet and want to blow them away between now and the next WC when I will balance it out, you score points for the 11 on the pitch so that is how I'm approaching it.

Got the same front 8 as Gunnersaurus apart from he has Welbeck and I have Berahino.

Welbeck has it all to do or he is getting sacrificed in my plan to get Baines or Ivanovic.

Yup, 2 clean sheets in the last 3 and only 1 conceded at Spurs so my hope is that Newcastle can maintain their form for a little while at least then and then I can reassess GW 13 or 15.

I don't rate Welbeck at all. He's 1-in-3 at best.

Although he could quite easily be 3-in-1 this GW. Should absorb some of that -8 I'd imagine.

You're right, he probably is but I was put off him because he seems susceptible to injury and I have no back up if he gets crocked again, plus I already own Wisdom.

Quite happy with the two Saints defenders for the next few weeks so not overly worried tbh, have two options right now, lose Bertrand when their fixtures stiffen up and upgrade Bruce or Taylor or really go for it if I have a good couple of weeks and add Baines or Ivanovic with a smooth little move.

Either way, getting the big 5 in MF and upfront is more important at this stage before their prices make them impossible to all fit in.
