Do we have any Hull fans here (that would confess to that  ) and can enlighten us please...

1. Is Abdoulaye Faye likely to play this season or has his age finally caught up with him?
2. What is the probable starting XI?

Thanks in advance.

From Saturday's friendly :-

Hull (3-5-2): McGregor, Figueroa (McShane ht), Davies (Bruce 60), Chester, Boyd (Proschwitz 60), Elmohamady (Dudgeon 60), Quinn (Meyler ht), Cairney, Koren (Aluko ht), Brady, Graham (Fryatt 60). Not used: Harper, Jakupovic.

I reckon Davies will be a shoe in at centre back. Decent player, not sure of those around. Faye didn't even feature at all.

Bruce 29(0) and Chester 43(1) were the regulars last season.
Davies played regular for Birmingham 45 (6)

As far as the goalies go, he has brought in McGregor and Harper.
Jakupovic only played 5 last season.
Amos and Stockdale were sharing the spot. I have the feeling Bruce isn-t sure with the goalies

Huddlestone signed today, could be a very interesting one - anyone know how he's likely to be used, and if he'll be on set-pieces?

With Mcgregor an injury doubt, who is next in line between the sticks?

Anyone know how Hull will line up.

Are Jelavic & Long certain to play upfront?

Yeah both Jelavic & Long will start up front.

Bruce likes 3-5-2 but switches regularly to 4-4-2.

Thursdays Europa League game will give pointers for the pecking order. Jelavic may not start on Thurs due to lack of match fitness after the World Cup.

I would guess the starting line-up for premier league will be:
4-4-2
McGregor
Elmo Davies Chester/New CH Rosenoir
Snodgrass Livermore Huddlestone Ince/Meyler
Long Jelavic

3-5-2
McGregor
Davies Chester Bruce/New CH
Snodgrass Livermore Huddlestone Meyler Ince/Rosenoir
Long Jelavic

Aluko Brady Sagbo Boyd as attacking options off the bench in that order.
Figueroa fell out of favour last season and Rosenoir switched to left back.

Brady started in the euro qualifier. Has your opinion on the starting 11 changed?

Not judging by his performance on Thursday. Constantly out of position and very little support for the back 3 when defending. At fault for their goal. We looked much better when we switched to 4-4-2 with Rosenior coming on. Ince looked for very lively when he came on.

Is Snodgrass a certain starter, and how likely is he to score decent fantasy points over the opening three or four weeks?

Scout had picked Brady to start, and had him in the hole. In addition, they show him as the first player on pens.

So is he a starter, or just rested for Europa?

I think we have turned the corner now concerning suspensions, injuries, form, results etc.
I was not expecting anything from the cup game against Arsenal although Harry Maguire had a stormer and is one to watch for the remainder of the season if he can get into the first team.
With robertson back we will be attacking more and with more game time Herandez and Jelavic up front will only get better as a pair.
With Dawson back in a couple of weeks and Diame later in Jan or Feb depending on injury or ACON I am sure we will be fine.
Add to that a new signing or two maybe on loan we will be a lot stronger.
The only downside I can see is Huddlestone he has steadily got worse throughout the season and when he played yesterday he looked no better than before his suspension.
Plus we have 2 wins out of the last three games without him and we should have won against Leicester. I cannot remember a game where we created so many chances in the last 20 mins and not score one.
Anyway Up The Tigers.
