Week 23
Just a quickie so that we have a thread to report our scores on…
F1 - Saturday 12:45pm
Stoke v Liverpool (1-1)
F2 - Saturday 3:00pm
Chelsea v Sunderland (7-2)
Man Utd v Burnley (3-0)
Tottenham v Hull (0-0)
Wolverhampton v Wigan (0-2)
Portsmouth OFF Birmingham
F3 - Saturday 5:30pm
Everton v Man City (2-0)
F4 - Sunday
Aston Villa v West Ham - 13:30pm (2-0)
Blackburn v Fulham - 15:00pm (1-1)
Bolton v Arsenal - 16:00pm (1-2)
With a blind captain choice from the later 2 games on Sunday, some might consider starring a Villa player as the straight bat option in flange 4. Young, Agbonlahor and Milner would all therefore seem like the obvious picks... Alternatively you could take a chance and pick from the usual suspects in the Arsenal game… Arshavin, Vermaelen, Eduardo or the returning Fabregas.
And if you really want a left field captain choice…look no further than either Matty Taylor or Klasnic if you can see there being a ‘new manager bounce’ from Bolton...
Good luck for Sundays games

Re: Week 23
Hope that no one was affected by the same problems encountered by TFF players, yesterday. I think that most TFFO'ers set up their teams a couple of days in advance and it doesn't look as if there was any surprise last minute team news yesterday. At least one can tinker with an individual flange without having to re-set the lot this season - some consolation for enduring the advert/betting infested Site.
I managed to make sub-optimal Star Man Picks for the 3.00pm games (Rooney and Defoe) and benched Bent in one of them (ISO).

70 for my best team today. Not entirely sure if that's good or merely average. Other scores were 43 (ISO), 59, 64, 56, 59 and 71.

Between 70 and 85 for me for the weekend, with the 85 being my top team. Approximately par for the course it seems.

96 points for Iguana this week.
Congrats to MV who seems to have recovered from his Teves horribilis.
Top 3 now handily placed - long way to go though.

Re: Week 23
Finally dragged Fab in tonight in both teams and starred him.
Just another CS in my main team (which has been rising of late) but ISO also had Vermaelen.

Re: Week 23
No real impact from my top 2 teams with Eduardo captained in one Normally you'd be hoping for some love out of 4 goals scored ISO only saved by Fab.
Scores were 60 , 38, 31 (ISO) & 18
Was going to do Anelka for Torres last week in ISO, but I'm still gonna stick fat until Drogs gets back. Hopefully won't slip too much further down while waiting

Re: Week 23
Scores ranged from 15pts - Bottom squad to 45pts. My ISO top squad got 31pts, now in 87th overall, suprised that is hanging on in there with Torres, Gerrard, Johnson, Lennon all crocked!

My best team moved up another 4 places to 11th. On a good run at the moment but experience tells me that can change very quickly!

Have those 4 too & hoping to have 3 sorted by mid Feb at the latest. Johnson still worth hanging on to IMHO. Just can't justify those sorts of transfers now unless you have more than half a dozen remaining.

Re: Week 23
Yeh Worm, am waiting on Drogba to come back in, will have to hang onto the other 3 though as transfers are not my friend now so need to keep the crocked ones! Still, Lennon & Gerrard should be back next week & Johnson will play when fit again in March!Worm wrote:Are you waiting on Drogba's return like me Timlooneytoon77 wrote:Scores ranged from 15pts - Bottom squad to 45pts. Re: Week 23
waiting for glen johnson till march is a waste of time...but considering he's a FB will have little or no impact to the team, every point helps....so i shipped him out for insua....return? a clean sheet in midweek.
would have liked to hold on to Drogba but, he was the only option for Tevez who brought an immediate return.
it's just about reshaping the team, going with your gut feeling...you can hold on to your transfers all season, and in the end they become redundant and worthless
