Is Werner a Must Have?

Post by lagauci »

I was looking at starting with Harry Kane, as Tottenham’s first eight fixtures look good and he ended last season strongly.

But there’s a lot of love for Werner, so wondering if I can get in both. With this in mind, which option do you think is better...? Thanks :)

The stats are dark and full of errors.

I'm not sure that either of those selections are ideal, and given the options in the poll you're not really asking a Werner Vs Kane question, especially given that Salah is appearing in one set of options and Fernandes in the other.

There are so many variables in a 28.5m spend, but if you're looking for a straight Kane Vs Werner view, then neither are must haves but if I had to choose only one I'd probably start with Kane for the fixtures and virtually guaranteed 90 minute appearances.

As I say though, I'm not sure that Kane Vs Werner really is the choice here.

I think I will wait and see how Werner plays in Premier League
I won't rush into bringing him in straight away from GW1.

Did he play central or out wide?

I don't think there are any 'must haves' at this point of the season.

Interesting, as I sense that there are - but not a Chelsea CK with a pretty much new 3 behind him in a 4231, and FFL in his second season....

TAA is a must have at 7.5 😉

He's the exception that proves the rule

Although which will score more TAA & 5.5m v Robertson & Doherty?

I guess I was really thinking of midfielders and forwards where we are spoilt for choice at the premium end expecially with no City & Utd in GW1.

TAA and Tierney will outscore them 2 imo.

Im really looking forward to this season especially with the extra midfield options this season.

Aubemyang is a must have for me in GW 1-2 but he be out for KDB then and don’t see him coming back until GW8 onwards.

Rashford i have high hopes for this season.

Top scoring striker this season will be Ings though and leave werner, Kane, Aguero and all the others ive heard mention in his wake (if he stays injury free all season of course) 😁

... and that is the end of Ings' season... now we can start the bets whether it would be his ankle, knee or head and on what minute of the first game.

Now that Werner has scored, is he a must-have player? The price is now only 9.3 - such a bargain.

He is on my watch list to replace Vardy at some stage.
I have 3.5 itb so cost is not an issue, unless I want to upgrade a mid price mid to a premium.
The season is still not settled down after the " interesting " start, so I am going on a fpl holiday for a couple of GW's, before doing any more damage to my squad.
