Good to go?

Post by Fuzz »

Hey guys, please take a look at my first draft and let me know what you think.

I’ve included Maguire on the assumption that he gets a move to United or City, and Giroud on the assumption that he’s first choice.

I’ll probably go with whoever looks like they’re first choice out of Chelsea’s striking options as they should represent good value.

Thanks

Ideally. I started off with 3 and will swap Laporte for Van Dijk if Maguire goes to City.

I've already done this as wahine is right about the fixtures.

Not a bad squad, with tweaks.

Not into dormant 4.0 keepers myself.

Changing Laporte if Maguire comes is a good call.

I feel as if you could change Giroud and Brooks around and perhaps spare some funds for that third forward.

Will Zaha be pining for a move soon?

Thanks for your comments!

Do you mean swap Giroud and Brooks to, say, King and Willian?

I normally go into the season with a 3-4-3 and have a couple of cheap defenders on the bench, but the pricing this year is making it challenging to field a strong front seven.

I'm monitoring the Zaha situation as there are a few interesting midfielders around that price point.

I think 5 defenders is the way to go this season. As close to guaranteed points as you are ever likely to get.

It’s certainly tempting with the pricing system...

I’ve had a play and changed the formation to 433.

This draft assumes Dunk moves to Leicester. I’ll rotate Dunk and Taylor depending on fixtures.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Great squad.

I'm not into having a 4.0 keeper, unless the other keeper is a premium. Get another 4.5.

It's good touch on Dunk/Taylor.

I'd wait and see on Digne, Everton not spent any money in the CB area.

Brooks is good to have in that price bracket, but having King in too suggests you're confident about Bournemouth this season?

Not sure of Romeu as a 4.5 mid. Awfully card prone with 40 yellows in 4 seasons.

Can you be sure Giroud will be first choice forward? I'd fancy Batchuayi if he's the same price.

Everton signed the unlisted Lossl in the summer.

Cheers for the detailed feedback.

Digne is in for his attacking returns and opening fixtures, but could easily change to Walker or Mendy.

I do think Bournemouth should get some good attacking returns in their opening fixtures. Ideally I want Wilson, but King on penalties is the next best thing. Brooks could change to another 6.5. What are your thoughts on Pérez?

Do you recommend any other 4.5 mids?

Not sure on Giroud but I’m going to try to fit in whoever is Chelsea’s first choice striker.

Are there any decent 8.5 combos this year?

I'd try and be as measured as possible about it. I just keep an eye on two things.

1) Be confident on who will play every week. Got a feeling Dale Stephens will feature less.

2) Look at their disciplinary stats. Romeu and Kenny G are the worst in the 4.5m price bracket.

I think I’m pretty settled on the defence, but still undecided on midfield and attack apart from a few players.

What do you think of options A and B below? Thanks!

That's not a bad shout. Would you make any other tweaks?

Also, Sigurdson or Bernardo Silva?

Cheers!

I prefer Rich to Ziggy as he is more streaky and has started well the last 2 season's. However he is only just back from CA.

How much is Bilva? I'm on Martial as he looks to be nailed at CF and he might sort out your Burnley double arb.

Bilva is 8m.

I'm not sure I trust Martial, but he could be gold if he hits a streak of form.

Good to go?

Post by Fuzz »

The surprise Luiz transfer meant Zouma at 5m was too tempting, so I’ve swapped Siggy to Martial to find the extra 0.5 for him.

My main concern is not having Sterling...

Good to go? Thanks!

Wildcard

Post by Fuzz »

Triggered my wildcard and pretty happy with the team. I just need advice on the following options:

A) TAA, De Bruyne, Jota
B) VVD, Cellabos, Kane

Thanks!

Salah / Sterling / KDB / Martial / Dendoncker
Pukki / Jota / Greenwood

B would be kinda similar to my squad, but I have Shaw, KWP and Zin atb with Laporte.

Long term I’m not that bothered about having Kane. I think I’m just very worried about not having him this weekend.

It's a bit more of a fixture run for me, but I'm not overly comfortable with him, Salah and Sterling....
