Yep, he was scoring loads after the last manager got sacked, as predicted by Ruth, who I thank for all the points he got me 😂

Last season he got a ridiculous red card in the first few GW's 😉

The stats are dark and full of errors.

Re: ARs Thinking Space

You're quite right, well, depending on what stat you look at but for the last 10 games, Vardy had second highest xG (behind Auba), 4th best mins per shot in the box and 3rd best mins per shot on target. His stats over that period were actually similar to Sterling, but Vardy had higher xG, presumably due to pens.

Do you know how many points he got after Puel got booted vs before? I assume that happened with 10 matches left.

From memory he was averaging something in the region of 6.5ppg for the final 8-10 GWs

So 1.5 hours on a train to finalise my team. Not sure how it came to this ;)

Coleman now seems like a transfer waiting to happen and not entirely happy with ake/soyu rotation. Can't get excited about alternatives though.

What do you have atm?

That Def Rotation is a tad daft, imho - and I expect Leic to let in a few headers this season, as elsewhere they are tiny

TAA, VVD & 15m unless I downgrade Trossard and play 5 at the back or go with Loca.

I have just put a BB Squad that I quite like on my thread.

Tossard loses to Barkley, shirley?

Loc is a win as a playing Fwd for the bench, unless you want to go 2 or 3 with Greenwood - although JAyew is only 5m and 46 from 1176mins last season isn't that bad? (Let's not get into Wilf, but they have Camarassa 5m now)

KWP for GW1&3 is only 5m with AV and New at Home. I sense Pep is going to exact revenge with nobs on for the CL last season.....

Regarding Coleman, why? He's had a full pre-season, good player, good team, good fixtures. Sidibe shouldn't be taken as a threat for now.

I have considered Digne but think Coleman could be a better bet since it's Everton attack which hasn't looked good pre-season.

ARs Thinking Space

You have £15m for 3 defs?
KWP and Zouma rotate well for the first few weeks, I’m on that combo

Gives all home fixtures of:
AVL
LEI
NEW
SHU
CPL

Arguably the most interesting snippet of this Preseason 8-)

Coleman Ake and Soyu to Digne Zouma and a 4.0 would keep 4 ATB. All depends how you feel about Zouma I guess

Can someone explain the joy of Mina and no Gueye at Everton? Not to mention how many tmes we loaded up on Baines et al to see them start slower than me with a stonking hangover......

That is all fair but they clearly had a plan in place for Gueye leaving and moved really quickly. No Zouma isn't ideal but the fixtures are just so good.

And Silva was moaning about getting a Defender like Gueye.... and didn't sign one.

It just seems a tad blinkered to me. A bit like W-B is the MU Def to have, when he was pants going fwd last season.....

You've lost me, defender like Gueye?

Agree on WB far more competition for BPS in the Utd side and good back up in Dalot. Would rather have Maguire or Shaw if I go there but won't be for a few weeks

They got Gbamin, blah.

I trust Toffees backline more than Spurs or Chelsea. It's more settled really, even if not as good. And the fixture run makes me feel it's worth a try.

They bought that Gbamin or whatever his name in like the day after as a direct replacement, that is what I meant by clear plan for it. Not getting in another CB is the only bit that really worries me but I think the fixtures make it a gamble worth taking.

Should I start Deeney in GW2 (if I go for the BB Option this GW)?

I fully expect to be No1 Incredible come Tues morning 8-)

Fab, Pope
Robbo, TAA, VvD, Laporte, KWP
Sterling(c), KdB (vc), Martial, Barkley, Dendoncker
King Deeney Locadia

All with a stonking BB

More likely another shite start and less than 50 points

Good luck, hope you nail it.

I kept Coleman and went for a 2 out of 3 rotation involving KWP, Ake & Locadia. Locadia benched this week, KWP next and Ake in GW3 (unless I have wildcarded by then).

While not a fan of pre-planned Rotation the Chelsea\Spurs Def on is very interesting and I sense the BHA attack could be too if they are as Attacking as I have been led to believe. Not tomention the first time the Ryan\Button massif see that they aren't the same as Hughton's borefest....

bigger - the risks of messing around with your team at the last minute on the train. Instead of having the 0.5m on the bench I thought I have, I have Fahrmann as my second keeper eating up that 0.5m. Misread his price when (needlessly) messing around with my second keeper (having picked up somewhere that Krul was injured).

This game is hard enough without my own capacity to mess things up.

No Sterling in my squad and could not squeeze the budget to 15 starters, so hiding behind the sofa.
The No 1 spot looking good for you if Sterling goes well, good luck anyway :-) but Sterling to Salah GW2?
