Congratulations to those who did well - could Mr Cane please get in touch, so we can arrange a prize presentation at one of my central london quiz venues over the summer. If a few are interested, we might be able to arrange a social/drinks event at the same time. Here's the top 20 -

Mr Russell Cane Diego Maradona 24 68 3664
Mr Russell Cane Johan Cruyff 28 78 3659
Mr David Browne Relegate Laughing 80 95 3607
Mr Russell Cane Pele 196 73 3530
Mr Steve King contains mild peril 212 124 3521
Mr Russell Cane Michel Platini 271 66 3493
Mr Russell Cane Lionel Messi 306 67 3480
Mr Brian Edmondson DRY YOUR EYES MATE 353 97 3465
Mr James Page frattonender 411 48 3449
Mr Jon Harrington The Dude Abides 620 110 3406
Mr James Page frattonender 2 753 76 3377
Mr James Page frattonender 4 1103 55 3331
Mr James Page frattonender 1 1123 56 3329
Mr Brian Edmondson 50 shades of Gravy 1586 95 3286
Mr James Page frattonender 3 1612 71 3284
Mr Richard Stirland Button Moon 2055 87 3249
Mr Jon Harrington Camino De Santiago 2145 82 3242
Mr Terry Knapton Duke442 2321 82 3231
Mr Mav Phiri RED SOX FC 3014 70 3189
Mr Danny Mercer Shakhtar Senseless 3180 90 3180

Note that the average of the top 5 would have been 3rd in the league of super leagues - not sure how this can be arranged, but might be worth considering next term - i'll be running another champagne league in some form, possibly using the daily mail (bigoted comic that it is) again if they run another game.

Yeah, it has to be five different managers not just the best five teams.

Yes i'm well aware - as pointed out in the first thread of the post, this wasn't going to be a league aimed at winning the cash for superleague. Turned out however that some teams were quite good, despite some managers being reluctant to enter their best entries in this at first, as there's a limit to number of leagues one can be in.

FREE DRINK - well, some free wine, can be arranged for all if there's enough interest, maybe a tuesday evening near king's cross, if and when the winner gets in touch to claim his champagne. I'm not quite sure what's going on as I had a message from someone who said they weren't the winner, but looking through other messages it seems as though they are, under a different name, very odd.
