I don't think 2000 is too bad, it's still in touch at this stage as it's still very tight, I went from 6000ish to top 400 over the weekend.

Always nice to get into three figures quite early on. Thanks Frank 8-)

Likewise with your 132nd. Tough to drop the early big hitters as captains. Aswell as the small points scorers as squad players, can't justify using transfers if 1 or 2 cheaper players are playing but not scoring big, makes it easier to know who to bench.

10. Mini leagues

By entering the MailOnline Game, Managers have the opportunity to form their own league ('Mini League'). A minimum of five participants (there is no maximum) may enter a Mini League one of whom must be nominated as the Chairman ('Chairman'). Any Mini League containing two or more identical teams will be rejected. No further Mini League entries will be accepted after 23:59 on Monday, October 24, 2011. A team may participate in up to five Mini Leagues. Once a team has joined a Mini League it is not possible for that team to be moved into another Mini League. The Chairman will be the recipient of all correspondence relating to their Mini League.

16. Highest-scoring Mini League

The best-performing Mini League in the MailOnline Fantasy Football Game will win £5,000. This will be awarded to the Mini League with the highest average points total based upon all of its teams. In the event of a tie for the Mini League prize, a tiebreaker will be used to determine the winner.

We need to start putting these together.

Five per mini league, we best five teams in 1st one and next in 2nd and so on.

Can we make a list of the current best ranked teams.

I think transfers and captains should also be taken into account, allocate some kind of points system to each transfer remaining etc abit like 20 points per transfer in TFF

Agree with Chuck on this, pointless being in a good position with not many transfers and captain changes left

Well done Chuck and others for a fantastic start.

I agree with the points per transfer but there is no way to check on it. We had a few dead weights last year who clearly either gave up or lied about transfers/capt remaining.

Points should be 25 points per transfer and 20 per capt IMO. I'll fill in the gaps where needed, crispy did a decent job last year of organising it I'll pm him.

mmm...you may end with teams who got off to a good start... loads of trans left...but no skill.... bad start used plenty of trans... good judgement...high score. Come new year all teams will have 16/5 again anyway.

I would favour good position over transfers left..the mail comp really is a game of two halves!... obviously there would need to be a minimum left... perhaps 7-8? (maybe even less)

cometh the hour I will have neither the skill or the transfers!

I may even set up a league on this very basis

Would have loved to do it, but not entered at all this time even though I won a prize last year. My children of two years and three months old pretty much take up all my time so with the additional changes I wouldn't have been able to keep up :|

Good luck to all that enter and hopefully fiso will nail the top spot this year

I'd agree, to an extent, with the above (transfers are there to be used after all) and I think I'd struggle to use 12/13 transfers effectively between now & the end of the year (as if I would have that many left  ).

Would suggest a reduction in the points weighting that already been put forward but I'm happy to go with the general consensus...

I've got a team in 1424th. Healthy in the transfers and captain changes department. Be willing to but this in a mini league if required.

I need to get a move on in this. I've only used 6 transfers across my 5 teams and no captain changes!
Maybe that's why I'm behind

Personally I'd want to join established Fisoers with known pedigree, that are in a healthy position ie top 1k with 10+ transfers at this stage, am I too strict?

I think it would be best to set up a separate thread for mini leagues. Also agree how any prize money will be shared before you join a league.

Am I correct in understanding that 1 team can join 5 mini leagues? if so then there can be an element of mix and match.

That's right nabby, 5 x 5 teams requires a mix of 25 teams.

I think everyone should announce transfers/captains too aswell as overall positions on the superleague thread, I'd say allocate 20 points per transfer and a minimum of 3 captains left to join in, then see where that leaves us

I reckon 10 points per transfer left and 20 points per captain changes.

The current table shows you that structure is more important than using transfers.
