We were helped a bit by the fact that most of ClynesClynes didn't change thier Liverpool cpt to a Man Utd one for the cup final.

Also two of us captained Lingard ) I was cursing that I hadn't captained my only other Utd player, Smalling before KO with Lingard not playing  .

Hi Guys

I think in the end most of us used our Powerplays in the last month and the Suarez and Giroud hat tricks moved us top and a relatively comfortable win.

Having said that I know from experience that chasing prizes in Silent Manager/Chroma games can be a difficult task and they always refer you back to the prize sponsor (Icons) but only after a 28 days grace period.

Winning mini league

1 MK1 4088
2 Colin Cod 3927
3 gobby 3874
4 Ricks Raiders 3872
5 BrightwaterVilla.co.uk 3822
6 Hart To Harte 3744
7 Swish 3681
------------------------------
8 Atlantist 3661
9 Roker Roar 3625

With only 7 prizes I guess we are allocating them to the Top 7 in the league

Each member of he highest scoring mini-league at the end of the competition (max 7 winners) will have their choice from the following prizes, supplied by icons.com

Lionel Messi photo
Phillipe Coutinho v QPR photo
Wayne Rooney overhead kick photo
Gareth Bale boot
Jack Wilshere poster
Juan Mata photo
Ross Barkley shirt

I will keep you updated when I hear from them.

Kindest regards

Nigel

Update

After chasing them for an update I received confirmation today that Fiso Elite have been confirmed as the winning league :D and the 7 prizes available.

Lionel Messi photo
Phillipe Coutinho v QPR photo
Wayne Rooney overhead kick photo
Gareth Bale boot
Jack Wilshere poster
Juan Mata photo
Ross Barkley shirt

There seems some doubt whether they will send out the prizes individually or just send them all to me to send them on to the winners.

It would be helpful if we can gauge the level of interest in claiming the prize so could the members post their top two choices in the first instance.

1 MK1
2 Colin Cod
3 gobby
4 Ricks Raiders
5 BrightwaterVilla.co.uk
6 Hart To Harte (Gareth Bale boot/Ross Barkley shirt)
7 Swish

Best wishes

Nigel

Have followed up with The Mail on which prizes are available. This is their response

It was originally agreed that the teams would receive all seven prizes, which come to a total agreed value.

Of course I do understand that some of the team members may have preferences of the prizes, and what is written on the website does suggest that they can pick.

If you send me a list of the ones you want, along with the addresses I can see what I can do. I must stress that we are only able to provide items that reach the same total value which was pre-arranged with icon.com.

On this basis, I am not sure we are going to get seven Ross Barkley shirts or Gareth Bale boots as these are the most expensive items on the list. Not sure if anybody wants to reconsider their prize pick. I am still waiting to hear from 3 members of the league. I will PM them now.

The final stage will be for me to collate the names and addresses and final prize picks and send them to the contact at the Daily Mail . Can you each PM me your details accordingly.

Thanks and kindest regards

I have just received this email from DM

Hi Nigel,

Thanks for your email, my apologies that it has taken me a little while to come back to you regarding the prize requests, we have been liaising with Icons.com. Unfortunately, we are unable to process these requests as the total adds up to more than the agreed fee with icons.com. Namely being the Gareth Bale Boot and the Ross Barkley shirt were the two most expensive items on the list. You are able to have any seven items (or fewer if necessary) from the website to the total agreed value of £780 which was the equivalent of the seven original prizes.

Please take a look at the website and let me know what prizes you would like sent to the addresses. Please note we are only able to send items that are currently showing as in stock.

Do let me know if you have any queries.

Kind regards,

Nicola Foxen
Sports Desk Assistant

Happy to hear views on the best way forward

Best wishes

Nigel

Here is the mini league prize wording -

Each member of he highest scoring mini-league at the end of the competition (max 7 winners) will have their choice from the following prizes, supplied by icons.com
Lionel Messi photo
Phillipe Coutinho v QPR photo
Wayne Rooney overhead kick photo
Gareth Bale boot
Jack Wilshere poster
Juan Mata photo
Ross Barkley shirt

My interpretation is that we could have 7 boots or 7 shirts. What is beyond dispute is that nowhere is a prize value mentioned; not in prize terms either.

So the Daily Mail have reneged. Nigel - if it's SilentManager you are communicating with, I suggest you say we require them to push back to the Daily Mail with our discontent.

I will not accept a poster. However as a compromise I will accept £111 cash.

Hi, I've been struggling to actually find something for £175!! I have finally decided to go with "Gareth Bale Back Signed Real Madrid 2014-15 Home Shirt With Fan Style Numbers" as it is on sale at £159.99!! :D If we have enough left in the kitty, could I upgrade it to deluxe packaging for £35 extra please? No bother if not!! :D

Following on from Mintman's comment above, i guess we would all be keen to have standard or (preferably) deluxe packaging added to all our prizes if the spare kitty allowed - I can confirm I would please. Thanks.

Quick final Update:

Final agreed list is being sent by the contacts at The Mail to Icons today and the prizes should be sent out to each of us shortly.

Sadly, they will not be including deluxe packaging as they said that there was an additional cost for sending the prizes out to seven different addresses.

Perhaps you can post on here when you receive your prize.

Thanks and kind regards

Nigel

Quick FInal Final Update

Hi Nigel,

I have been advised that prizes have been sent out and should be received this week – expected delivery date is Wednesday (20th July)

FedEx can call a mobile number if no one is home when they arrive to deliver so if you want to send me everyones mobile numbers I can let them know?

Kind regards,

Not sure if everybody wants to send their mobile numbers but if you do then let me PM me and I will pass them on

Kind regards

Nigel

Also here. It's contained in clear plastic so guess you could buy a cheapish frame if necessary.

No problem guys :D

When I spoke to the guy at Head Office he did confirm there would be a Mail game this season but the details had yet to be finalised. :P

Might be a chance for a Fiso repeat

Mail site still advertising last season's game, no sign of a new game yet, or mention of a mail game on chroma, or any twitter or fb feed. Anyone else seen anything?
