Anyone know if you can bring players from the bench onto the pitch, say, for Sunday's games and score points for both players if the player he replaces played on Saturday?

Pretty sure this is how the silent manager game I played last panned out...

I am really not sure how sibs work in this game either. This has already become too complicated. Knowing how to make a sub I couldn't figure out until I found the answer here. My assumption is that I can sub players and all 15 will score points but I cant see anywhere where it mentions this. I only have players who scored spurs man u at moment. I don't like this game!

No problem on my PC.

But while team score on my team page agrees with individual player scores, my team score in the Fiso league table is different. Not sure how many managers will still be playing in a months time.

Am I right in thinking that this game is run by that notoriously incompetent outfit Silent Manager?

'Evening, yes it's them, though they are called chroma now. The game has already had incorrect dates in the game rules section - and indeed still has, this is a c and p for example, from the power play codes section;

When you enter the code into the game we will ask you which week in the month you would like to choose, you cannot edit your selection once it is made, so choose carefully! These codes will be published in conjunction with the start of every prize month.
11/08/2015 to 11/09/2015

.... note that the game month has already started (on 08/08/15, unless they''ve changed that too, though even that would clash with other terms) - and the original date mentioned was 04/08/15 until they changed it once they had missed a deadline to post a code in the rag. So already the game can't be played "properly" as the first week isn't an option to have a "power play" code for - I don't like even writing that, yuck.

Seems that there's a lag between score on your own team page and that in the overall tables, or vice versa - they seem to get in synch after a couple of hours.

War of attrition here - might win some prizes having had the advantage of years of working out how to deal with the weirdness of their games, so long as can keep on playing after everyone else has given up through frustration.

Try what I did on laptop -

Click name to be subbed out
Click bench player...after a minute your current players in the category are shown in right hand box
Click name to be subbed out again
Click bench player again...after a minute they swap
Save team
Repeat

Double clicking on player on subs bench was only method that worked for me. I could then select player I wanted to replace. Firefox on tablet.

Got this sussed at last.

Let's say you have 3 strikers Defoe, Vardy, Kane from yesterday in your team and you want to transfer out Defoe and bring in Aguero from your subs bench. Do the following:

1. Click on Defoe ( a list of all fantasy league strikers appears to the right of your team sheet)
2. Click on Aguero from your subs bench ( list on the right of team sheet changes to your 3 existing striker, Defoe, Vardy and Kane)
3. Click on Defoe on this list of 3 to the right of team sheet (Few seconds later players swap places on your team sheet)
4. Save team (Button at top of team sheet)

Thanks for that, Tried yesterday for about 15 mins, but gave up in the end. Bit annoying with Payet stuck on my bench still. I just assumed it must be a game where you can't change in between matches. That's a new way of doing it (to me anyway).

Has anyone worked out if you transfer out your captain, does the replacement get double points ?

Obviously changes everything, if so.

No, the replacement does not get double points. Once you transfer out your captain it asks you to choose a new one (whether that be his replacement or any other player in your team) and that captain doesn't earn double points until the next game week.

I don't think it appeared in the paper, only the website. It will probably be in the paper and online from now on.

Over the years I've played several different fantasy games, but I've never known a game to be run by such numpties. Although perhaps I've just been lucky in never having tried to play a game run by Silent Manager before. My scores have seemed wrong several times this season but I've never bothered to do a proper check.

This weekend I've done a full check on my scores and they aren't even in the right ballpark. If once these guys come back from their unearned bank holiday, I'll see if they have amended them. Even if total accuracy is asking a bit much of SM, losing well over 20 pts is simply silly. If the scores remain as ridiculous as they are, I'll admit defeat and write a letter to the editor of the Mail pointing out that these total a*seholes have wasted my time and that they are doing the complete opposite of promoting the image and reputation of the Mail. Its one thing the Mail trying to save money its another wasting their money on a totally sh*t service.

My score has also been amended at some point. It's very different now to what it was 2 days after the last game finished. Goodness knows if it's correct 'cos I can't make the effort to check it. But at least it no longer has 30-40 pts OBVIOUSLY missing.

But maybe it's worth continuing to play this game as most managers will surely get fed up with the jokers running it at some point, so there'll only be half a dozen  of us still competing by mid season.

For peace of mind, I won't be bothering about my scores on the assumption that someone more alert than myself will be letting them know about any major scoring balls ups.

My guess is that the guys (mis)running the game are so unaware of the characteristics of their own game that they are blissfully ignorant of the effect their changing the rule mid game (excluding knockout European games) had on those who loaded up on Man Utd and Southampton. They didn't only have some sub optimal EPL games and no European points, but they also missed the opportunity for Carling (or whatever its latest name is) Cup points.

Even though this semi rant might suggest otherwise, I don't really care about losing points. What always irritates me is sheer stupidity and incompetence that these guys seem to specialise in. If they'd been working for me they'd have shaped up by now or been kicked out. How hard is it to run a game efficiently and to update scores accurately on time. Apologies to anyone who has read all of this post, but at least I enjoyed writing it.

Five goals and an assist so far for ronaldo, kind of skews this game for or against ones chances depending on whether or not you have him as captain and/or in a double game scoring week.

Problems just before 3pm as i had forgotten to substitute Aguero in for Lukaku Was a nervous wreck for a few minutes until Aguero was injured Luckily had ronaldo as captain in all 3 teams Could also not log on at 5pm

Scores though are still completely wrong as despite several emails on the subject they are still doubling up captain and powerplay points along with one or two other discrepancies
