I have set up a free to enter FISO LEAGUE.

PIN - 140640

Name - FISO FORUM.

Also would anyone be interested if I set up a Non Fiso Cash League for £5 per team, of which £4.75 goes into a prize fund and 25p goes to the Metro.

Just checked the leagues on the Metro. I think there is something dodgy on the scoring.

Appearance points 15pts for starting +1 per 10 minutes played giving a maximum of 24.

Now the last time i checked 24 X 11 is 264, which should be the maximum possible appearance points after 1 set of fixtures.

However lots of teams have more than this, including some of mine.

Is my logic flawed here, or is something amiss?

My teams dropped way down the leaderboard tonight despite all having Messi & Alba.(37th to 250th with 1 team)

I presume most of the ones shooting up the league were very heavy on Barcelona, which doesn't leave much money for the rest of the squad.

Hoping for big games from Ronaldo, Ibramovich & Hulk tonight can not see how anyone near the top of the leaderboard can afford any of these 3.

On the reverse, I had a team I abandoned at week 2 move several thousand places up the table into the Top 200 last night. It has 4 Barcelona players in it and has scored over 800 pts this week (On track to record my highest ever score from one set of fixtures). The team will drop again tonight, as there are only two players left to play and the team does not have Ronaldo.

My own previous top team fell one hundred places from its starting position of 167, despite having Messi (Cpt) and Alba in it.

Just added them.

All my teams have 5 to 8 playing tonight.

best team is Porto heavy.
Helton (GK)Danillo(DEF) & James(MID)
plus Jallet at the back, Holtby & Cazorla in Mid, Ronaldo & Hulk up front.

This team went from 37th to 1196th last night

From my initial scans of some teams I can view in a Team Visible league , it would appear not many people had Solado last night.

I am looking for a Jackson Martinez hatrick tonight tonight (In reality I would settle for a 75pts haul) to really set what I perceive to be my best team on fire.

It's quite easy to get a decent team that is Barca heavy now. The point is how many bargains were spottable pre-start.
Assume you go with the obvious Big4.
Alba DEF 7 Xavi MID 12 Iniesta MID 11.5 Messi FWD 13 - Total 43.5 leaving 56.5 for 11 more players. Lets see what we can get for that.

FWD Isco MAL 7.5
FWD Soldado VAL 8.0
MID Holtby SHALKE 5.5 - IMO Easily the outstanding value midfielder pre-tourney.
MID Micael BRAGA 6.5
MID Shirokov ZENIT 6.5
DEF Sandro PORTO 3.5
DEF Jenkinson ARS 3.5
DEF Rafael MUN 4.5
DEF Luis Alberto CFR 2.5
GK Diego Alves VAL 2.5
GK Valdes BAR 4.5 - Expensive, but increasing BARCA presence & fixtures fit well with Alves who IMO looks the best value GK.

Total 55m even got 1.5m spare - all reasonable shouts. Spose could even upgrade Soldado to Ronaldo by downgrading 2 from Micael, Shirokov, Rafael & Valdes.
I've only picked bargains that I've got in at least 1 team, so there are even better ones available, that were even harder to pick.
The big question, how hard would it have been to assemble a team like this, full of decent scoring cheapos without taking transfer hits.

Will be a 10 player week for me. A defensive non starter and 2 others on the bench injured.

My best team is now one of the two teams I abandoned after matchweek 2.

1688 pts (844pts average) over the last 2 game weeks whilst it has been unmanaged. 1167pts (584pts average) during the first two game weeks when I activley managed it.

This game does seem to be a bit of a lottery, ie how many teams would had both the hatrick players of Soldado (Match week 3) and Pizarro (Matchweek 4)

Of my managed teams, my main issue has been not having my first choice defenders playing or not starting due to rotation (Rafael for example last night)

Matchweek 5 and 6 should be more of a lottery, with the numeroud roation policies. Will keep ploddding on though as big gains can be made if you hit the right players on the night.

I'll hazard a guess Art that you have 4 X Barcelona players - Alba, Xavi, Iniesta and Messi.

I could probably try and guess another 4 of your starting 11 if I took the trouble.

Are you also playing the PL version this year. If Yes, how are you doing?

I've got three of those but no Iniesta. You're welcome to have a guess at the rest. I'll give you Ronaldo ;)

The Premier League one was a disaster, because of the Reading Sunderland postponed game I only had about four players for week three so I've been trying to catch up ever since and with the 'game weeks' it's hard to make up ground. Think my best sides about 700th :(
