I have managed to get my teams into second and sixth place.

The top team is in a current Season High of 160th place and the second team is again at a Season high of 294th nationally.

I have slowly been rising up the Tournament table and have climbed from 5th to 2nd with my top team in the last two weeks. The second place team had moved up just one place in the last two weeks from 7th to 6th but had cut the gap considerably to the Top 5 payout positions.

Ironically since 5/3 the leader has increased his lead over me from 249 pts to 406 pts. I suspect he had Rooney as captain this week. I had Rooney inmy team but not as Captain.

I think my priority now has got to be to consolidate 2nd place (£50 prize) and get my second team into the top 5 and hopefully 3rd place and another £37.50. The hope is to show a profit from my £11 initial outlay.

Update from last weekend. My aim was to consolidate 2nd place with my top team. Instead I had my second worst weekend of the Season and went from a 59 pt lead over 3rd place to a 113pts deficit on 2nd place as my team fell from 2nd to 4th, gaining just 406 pts for the weekend (after taking one 25 pts hit) Obvious dowpoints were gambling on Sagna playing and a poor performing Captain choice in Lampard, who was nearly 50 pts down on Van Persie.

My second team fell from 6th to 7th but is still just 39pts off 5th place. This team rose nationally and scored 566 pts over the weekend.

Most people in the top five seem to have had a very good weekend. I feel I am howwever well positioned for the double week coming up, but time will tell.

Table updated after the weekend session of games of this Double Gameweek.

Mixed results with Team A falling from 4th to 5th (Rose from 245th to 216th nationally) & scoring 599pts (which I thought was a good score !!!) from just 9 scoring players. The deficit on 2nd place also increased from 113pts to 145pts.

Team B rose from 7th to 6th (& from 288th to a Season High 266th nationally) scoring 567 pts over the weekend which includes taking a 50pts hit on transfers. The deficit on 5th place increased from 39pts to 74pts (but 5th place is also myself)

I had planned this double game week for around a month, slowing bringing in Arsenal players in particular. This has also been my downfall as I brought in Song for the game he was injured in and have been also been stuck with Sagna who I benched in team A but gambled on him playing for Team B. I am hoping the guy in 2nd place has a full compliment of Birmingham players, who I do not think will score well midweek away at Chelsea. I have also kept faith with Bale & Rooney for the midweek games in Team A, players who I hope have at least be benched by my rivals or even better have been jettisoned and will have to take hits on transfers to bring back in.

Overall, I must have done something right this week, as both teams rose nationally, even if I did not have the same success in this Tournament this weekend.

I like the bringing Bale early tactic wanda and he has a 2 gameweek coming up, is he classed as a midfielder or a defender these days? Some tough fixtures for Spurs coming up though.....

Both teams are at Season Highs. Team A scored 618 pts last week and is 108th nationally. Team B scored 552 pts last week and is 143rd nationally.

I am hoping to have secured 3rd and 4th place which will earn me £62.50. This could be a good weekend, as I am also 5th in the Fiso TFF Superleague, (which is in 1st place overall) and carrys a £200 prize with it. It could also go horribly wrong.

I am 80 pts off 2nd place, which I feel I am unlikely to make up. Although Team A scored 618 pts last week, I was guilty of a schoolboy error. I had Chris Baird of Fulham in both teams (Kept from the Fulham double game week a few weeks back) I knew he was suspended and benched him in Team B, but forgot to do so in Team A. His replacement would have been Seamus Coleman and I could have been 30pts closer to 2nd place with a deficit of just 50 pts.

Final positions shown below. Have Just about managed to get the PC back from the kids and the C Beebies website. Could not get 2nd place. Finished 46 pts adrift in the end, though, leaving Chris Baird in the 3rd place team in error last week cost me 30pts, so in a way I was was glad to have finished more than 30 pts adrift.

I reckon I should have £62.50 paid out for 3rd/4th place. Combined with the £200 I have won on the TFF Fiso Superleague, I have come out with a reasonable profit this year.

Wilbert - Not sure about you but I feel, I grapsed this game some three months into the Season. I hope to be Top 50 next year and have some thoughts about formations etc. First of all I will not be on holiday in the USA this year with limited Internet access for the first two weeks of the Season and will not start off with 11 decent players and 4 Bargain buys, ss Injuries soon showed that strategy not to be the way forward.
Finally, I think I need to change my User name from wandacatvenus. Wanda and Venus are our two cats. Might need to change it to Exiled Wiganer (My usual team names)
