I've only just finished training for a team leader role, which is literally one step above the 'regulars', and already supervisors and management are hammering it home that I am the first point for disciplinary. I'm seriously thinking if telling them to stick - I feel they are asking me to do things above my role.
What do you think?
What's the appropriate level of management to be conducting

Point out to them that with the added responsibility comes added financial rewards?

They are wanting you to seperate yourself from the "regulars" and at my place team leaders are responsible for disciplinary action.Tacalabala wrote:I've only just finished training for a team leader role, which is literally one step above the 'regulars', and already supervisors and management are hammering it home that I am the first point for disciplinary. It will do you good in the long run. I've seen many a team leader unable to seperate themselves from staff and the longer it took them to do it, the more slowly they progressed.
