FISO MINI LEAGUE (TIMES GAME)

Post by andye »

Admin is unable to chair the FISO league in the Times game so I am chairing this league.....

Mini League name - FISO

PIN - 8001984

Everybody is welcome to enter 1 team - ideally your best

If the league wins a prize it will be split equally between the top 5

so if we win the top prize - 3 grand each

2nd place - 800 quid each

3rd place - 400 quid each

Deadline for entries is 31st October

We could also do with a couple of people well placed to chair FISO 2 , FISO 3 etc. for everyones 2nd and 3rd best placed teams - any takers ?

Just to avoid any potential confusion , if I was to win the Chairman's prize it would be down to the performance of my team (not the league) so the prize would be mine

Andy

I'm keen to chair a FISO 2 league if no one has any objections.

I was going to set up a league anyway.

What the hell we're gonna need another few leagues anyway so i've set up a 2nd FISO league to start with. Remember its only one team per person per league.

League details: FISO Part Deux

PIN: 8001985.

I guess if the idea is to put your best teams in the FISO league then stick your second best ones in here. My second best team is there waiting for you.

If we organise ourselves we should have a chance at a couple of the Mini League prizes.

As with the first FISO league any winnings will be split evenly between the top 5 contributors.

Good luck.

I shall put my best team in Fiso1 and my third best in Fiso 2 - I'll have a crack at the Chairman's league with my second best. I'll put the entry details on the other thread.

Just had a check up of the leaderboard and I can see that the Croatians are really taking the piss and all these teams should be barred imo. It has been brought up before but nothing has been done. In the top 100 are the following teams and managers ...

BUBA 1 BUBA 2 BUBA 7 ........MRS FURLAN
N2 ......................................MR OSTOJIC
SINKE 1 SINKE 2 .................MR KNEZEVIC
EDI 9...................................MR FURLAN
NATASA 1 NATASA 2............MRS KNEZEVIC
DINO 1 DINO 2 ....................MR FURLAN
EK 1 EK 2 ...........................MISS KNEZEVIC
LOVLO 1 .............................MRS MORONIC

It's obvious what's going to happen soon.

I'm going to write to the newspaper and hope that some of you guys take some positive action as well ...

I really don't want to read ' How I won the Times game and how my sister won
the Chairman's prize' at the end of the season

Don't forget the FISO number 2 league either John.

Makes sense for you to set up a league to go for the Chairmans prize(i'llstick a team in)but theres no point dilluting our efforts too much. Zoran will likely be taking one of the mini league prizes already so we've only got two to go at. FISO will probably get the top place but we don't want to let another league beat our second effort because we don't organise our teams properly.

That's 5 in already so the league is valid and should go top when the tables are recalculated

Worth repeating , everybody is welcome :D

my team "sheikhs on a plane" currently 26th, will be going into the fiso league (and my 2nd team is already in john's league). Whatever the times decide re the croatian entries, if we can get enough legitimate teams in the top 50 or so, we should be able to beat them anyway. just a thought.

Definitely.

And remember theres no cut off for entries really. Only the top 5 count so its not like the Metro game.

The more the merrier.

Just make sure that everyone puts their best team in the FISO 1 league and their next best two in FISO 2 and Johns league.

For what its worth, I added my third team to your league. Its not a great team, but I will do a few transfers so it might hopefully contribute.

Forever England joined both Fiso Leagues - not the best start to say the least but made sure it was an average of the top 5 and not the whole league before joining! (Didn't wany to drag you guys down )

Never had such bad luck with injuries & suspensions at the beginning of a season than this, but now that I've managed to shift Samras, Essien, Venegoor of Hesselink & Cahill my teams at last have clean bills of health and the top 10 beckons (perhaps )

Good luck all!

Would love to use this as an excuse too, but this is the 1st year the Times has ran FF comp in this format!

LOL
Then I have no excuse
In all serious my best team was/is around the 1000 mark with a fair few transfers left but even now I still do feel i'm feeling my way a b this game - I brought Cahill in on a day he scored, only to have the points ruled out due to a previous game not having finished when that one kicked off (the whole overlapping fixtures thing has caught me out i'm afraid but i'm sure we've all got our hard luck stories to tell across many games)
I'll just get on with it and try and improve my position a bit :P
