That's the same problem I have, and why I don't bother, you cant get the bit in the middle to grow, just looks like your eyebrows have dropped.

Seriously? Vanity comes first?
Is 'because it's for charity' not a good enough reason?

And FYI, the bit in the middle has actually dropped, to under my bottom lip....

Good work fellas!

As we're in the mood for sharing......

I also had trouble with the middle bit, stopped me experimenting with the 'Charlie Chaplin' look.

Dixon, I owe you a donation, will be on it today.

Day 1 was for me today!

Mrs TK always tries to discourage me but I have the added incentive of a Mo Run later this month, so can't be turning up clean shaven when half the women will have (in most cases) real moustaches!

Arsene - you look a bit like Stephen McIntosh in that photo of yours above!

If I don't look too much like a serial killer later this month, I might post up the outcome as others have done.

The one in my photo on the left looks rather sinister I think.

Some trepidation about tomorrow, as never been into work with stubble before. I guess the first few days will be the worst when you're looking a bit rough, before things take hold properly.

The old grey(ish) goatee starting to take form.

I get the impression there were more people doing it in the last couple of years, don't know if the figures bear that out though. I don't know if it'll be able to keep up the momentum going into the future, it could be a victim of its own success as moustaches are actually becoming quite trendy in some circles now.

Not sure dan, would guess its on internet somewhere?!

Had a movember morning shave incident this year - ten days in, got out of shower in morning, started shaving and forgot was growing tache!

Took half an inch off the left hand side. Couldn't trim the right hand side to match as would have looked a bit 'adolf'.

Having to stay lopsided and hope it becomes less obvious as days pass!

As my posts have been deleted (many wrongly) because of how the thread was heading, I will reiterate my main points:

1. There seem to be far less mos around this year
2. I am glad!
3. Shame for the charity but they had a huge boost while it was a big(ger) fad

It's been growing year on year, each and every year, since 2003 - and is now one of the biggest charity events in the world - so it's far from a "fad"

I certainly wouldn't conclude that it's reduced based on seeng a few folk in my provincial town - were I to live in one

Last year over a million men did it - I'd not be surprised if that increases this year given it's raised profile this year with Gillette sponsoring amongst others and plenty of radio coverage aimed at men's stations like Talksport

Rather than make groundless statements based on my personal immediate experience I use data as well as observation on which to base my view of the world

It will be interesting to see if it does increase again in terms of both people doing it and money saved - especially when we are not feeling prosperous and it has to compete with several other charity causes not least the typhoon.

So, are you acknowledging you were incorrect/premature when you stated (in your now deleted post) that is IS bigger this year?

Why are you basing conclusions on my posts/observations based on a seemingly complete lack of knowledge of my lifestyle???? I have been to many places this Movember, including that big dirty city you live in, and seen far less mos than last year everywhere I have been.

Just an observation.....

I think I've observed more this year. I will wait until stats are available before hanging my hat on that though.

P.s. Is there a difference between observation and personal immediate experience.
