Kids bikes

Post by sted »

My two 8 year olds go to the local sports track for bike racing once a week (the one where Mark Cavendish started 8-) )

They're using their mountain bikes (heavy steel Raleighs) but a lot of the faster kids are using Islabikes. These look the bees knees, but I can't justify £350 each (my car isn't worth that)

Anyone any suggestions of a similar sort of alloy bike for closer to the £200 mark?

Ask at the club\track if those sort of bikes get sold on when the kids out-grow them?

(I'm sure Cav had a 5hite bike for ages, and learned to hate coming last  )
