When I first saw that wedding picture I though "blimey he's punching above his weight with that bride" but that's not very appropriate thing to say on this thread

I then remembered your original post and thought the more apt phrase here after your sentiment and hard work is "You get the wife you deserve". Congratulations.

I know she is going to look good on the day but I have let myself go in recent years. I want to look good stood next to her and I don't want everyone at the wedding thinking how the hell has this fat bloke managed to pull her

I met Mrs nffc when I was a much slimmer 22 year old. Now 9 years of Wine, Strongbow, Takeaways and more Strongbow later I am no longer the much fitter, leaner good looking young man that she was lucky to pull on that drunken night out in town.
