Slightly down this month due to holiday (did 2 Parkruns while away in 3 weekends and a 10 miler but no regular training runs as doing stacks of walking, nearly 70 miles. Also only doing about 3-4km on training runs since.) Should still beat last year's score with about 3 months in hand.

Keeping going and getting the new aim of a Marathon have been my main achievements this year. Upping my long run (slowly) in preparation for London in April and will continue to do so. This has upped my mileage over the last 2 months after a slight lull when my focus was on moving house. Slowly upping my training run and now at 9 miles although slightly outside my proposed marathon pace (I'll blame the hills, rain, wind, dodgy trails and gates etc). The weather and floods have also put paid to my aim of reaching Parkrun number 100 over xmas but if I bag a bonus new year one tomorrow (bit of a trek to get to one that is on and no way of doing 2 like last year) and again saturday that will do it.

2016? Will be big miles up to the Marathon but then I may ease off and concentrate on (mountain) walking over the summer with maybe only Parkruns on saturday so no 1000 miles next year. Target = 435 :lol:

Managed over 2000 miles on the bike with 63 miles being the longest ride. Next year will be aiming for a 100 miler and my son wants me to ride Lands End to John O Groates with him!!!!!

Had a long lay off running during the year due to a foot problem but have just started back and managing 3 runs/week = 14 miles approx.

Age has caught up with me but still determined to run and cycle throughout 2016.

Been in a similar boat with a niggling foot injury, think it might be a stress fracture developing.

Mrs Kovacs managed 1000+ miles in 2015. Unfortunately, her old man was dogged with injuries, and was unable to reach these giddy heights!

Went out for a run this morning to ensure my first 100km month :D

Was way ahead of schedule after doing our first half marathon distance run last monday. I really suffered after that (doubly annoying when my dog was still as fresh as anything at the end), possibly because of impending man flu (either that or it caused it!). Just about managed Saturday's parkrun and today's leap year bonus to make that 100km. Rest for a few days now as I have my first proper half marathon on sunday - then a full one just 7 weeks after that.......

2013 - 114 miles
2014 - 323 miles
2015 - 434 miles

2016
Jan - 41.64
Feb - 62.40

Tot = 104.40
Rolling year = 471.60

Overall total = 974.95 so club membership is coming up :D Only taken me since I started running in May 2013....

March will probably remain forever as my 'runningest' month. Started with a half marathon (just under 2 hours on a very hilly course 8-) and also included 10, 15 and 17 mile runs as I build up to the London Marathon. April will include some build up runs and the marathon itself but will include 'tapering off' and rest afterwards so won't beat March. Then I am retiring from long distance running. My body simply can't hack it and running over a couple of hours is just too much (IMO). I tried a 20 miler yesterday and felt OK in terms of fitness and lungs/heart etc but my legs just gave out after about 15 miles and I had to walk some of it and decided to take a more direct route home. Total distance of just over 19 miles. Hopefully my legs were only killed by the hilly route and so will be better if rested prior to the comparatively flat Marathon. (PS Feel free to sponsor me here).

Will keep running over shorter (AKA saner) distances cos I do like it but looking forward to going fell walking over the summer instead of long runs (have banned myself from the real hills for a few weeks to save my legs for marathon training).

2013 - 114 miles
2014 - 323 miles
2015 - 434 miles

2016
Jan - 41.64
Feb - 62.40
Mar - 85.88

Tot = 189.92
Rolling year = 519.69

Overall total = 1060.83. Club membership achieved on 17th March 2016 so only 34 months after starting in May 2013.

Blows away cobwebs....

I never did join the 1000 mile club in any year but have joined the 500 mile (800km) club in several years.

Think this year will be the 5th time if I can just do 68km in December (I'm marginally behind schedule but am going out tomorrow)

Was targeting 500 miles this year (again) but had to scale that down after getting plantar fasciitis in May (still suffering a bit, becoming worse in my 'other' foot) to 400 miles - which I reached this morning (wahoo!).

My dog, Faye, also retired from running this year which meant I lost my mojo a bit as well. We had 9 years running together and probably together had quadruple membership of the 1000 mile club (totalling it up - 9 years, mostly at 500/year).
