Planning a ten miler weds, after rest day tomorrow but some pain in left calf, so will see how that feels in 36 hrs or so.

Thinking while I'm motivated, with no injuries or illness may as well get the miles in - may have overdone it a touch hence the calf pain, but seems alright this morning.

Milton Keynes marathon May Bank Holiday Monday. Will be actually paying up for it by 31st January, before the price rises.
Half Marathon on 9th March as a warm up (part of the Milton Keynes Festival of Running). Mrs TK doing the 10k same day.

22/1 - 10.04 miles in 1:43:51 at 10:21 pace.
Went out slowly as calf was sore for first 2-3 miles, but no probs with it once warmed up and actually felt much better the day after run. But, after going out slowly I never got quicker, and the last mile was a real struggle! But its in the bank now.
Two days rest then until this morning
7.24 miles in 1:09:24 at 9:35. Felt nice and fresh, having had look back over the last six months, I believe that is my fastest 7 miles, nice.
Will get out for a three or four miler tomorrow night.

Have just done my first run in a fortnight after a deliberate break to rest aches/pains/injuries/niggles.
I actually felt pretty good. No real fitness problems and no real aching or heavy limbs which had been my main issue. Intended to walk a fair bit but only had one walking section early on then ran the rest.
One more in a couple of days then Parkrun saturday to see where I am really at.

Nice murf, I think a break (not for too long!) is good now and then. Planning on hitting the pavement myself tomorrow after just one run in seven days.
