Round 14

Post by mjs8274 »

Round 14 teams coming out, can't be arsed to post. I'm sure you know where to look.

Was thinking of trading Gia to Brent Harvey but noticed North Melbourne are unlikely to make top 8 in the AFL ladder.
Is it best to get a player from top 8 teams, will we get more games later from them?

Thx.

(remember this is my 1st season at this) :)

You won't get more games from the teams as the AFL DreamTeam only covers the rounds of the regular season, rounds 1-22.

The only danger really is that teams in the bottom eight with no chance of reaching the top eight is that they will drop older, established players and give youth a chance. North will definitely do that but that shouldn't effect Boomer Harvey because he's too good. He'll still be an integral part of the Roos set-up next year and up until his injury this year he had hardly missed a game in years.

I suppose there's an argument that they won't be trying as hard as a team, but I still think Harvey is a good option and I'm considering him as a Pavlich replacement.

cheers, he's in for Gia.

captains pick is interesting this week. No Cox and Saints playing Geelong means usual suspects are a bit more of a risk. This could be the 1 week to try a left-field selection i feel :)

Not sure of what to do - Walker being dropped and Pav off on long term leaves me with the prospect of 2 donuts...

Pav  Davey is an option

Nothing else really appeals and neither does that but 2 donuts is 2 donuts...

No Cox and I need a replacement for Gia.

Well it's three weeks X-Man. A Pav replacement doesn't appeal to me either, but donuts or - at a push - a Yarran or a Ballantyne for three weeks appeal even less. Pav and Sidebottom  Didak and Ballantyne is the current plan.

I'm facing 4 donuts at the moment, with Drummond and Goodwin not returning, Gia & Pav injured and then Rance & Muston being dropped. I'm hoping to continue the tradition of beating Ted by being the 2nd lowest scorer in the league!! 8-)

I just did GIA  Brad Johnson

Pyke is on the bench for the Swans, so he can come in for Cox.

Might not be a bad score this round afterall.

Well played Xman! I'm so miffed about Foley's injury and Johnson's - worst season ever for injuries
