Rd 8 Trades
There's plenty to go around. Who needs to burn 2 trades this round?

Re: Rd 8 Trades
Well I had 12 donuts in round 7, with Kornes out now as well.
Need some of my walking wounded to start HTFU'ing and playing some footie.

Re: Rd 8 Trades
Looks like Beams will be out at least 2 more rounds. If that's the case I need to shore up my midfield or risk dropping back again. So this week I'm thinking of making two trades..
G Ablett Dal Santo
Lovett S Johnson
or
G Ablett Bartel
Lovett Mooney/Hawkins
something along those lines.
Both Geelong and St Kilda's fixtures are just too tasty not to stock up on.
If Ablett is deffo to come back next week then I'll probs do..
K Cornes Dal Santo
Houlihan Gram/Geary
I can always pray that Hogan will get another game for the Cats. We'll see on Thursday

Those St Kilda Boys are looking mighty tasty...
Any news on Higgins? I'm Donut City this week and will have to make at least 1 if not 2 trades...

Touch and go with Higgins. Won't be played unless he's 100% fit
Coach Rodney Eade said that, while the talented young gun would be considered by the match committee, the Dogs would be more likely to err on the side of caution.
"He's a good chance to be right to play, but we're not going to take any risks with him," Eade said on Wednesday.
"It's a groin and we don't want those to linger on. He'll train later in the week, he trained yesterday and he's pulled up OK, but if he's 95 per cent, we won't play him."

Re: Rd 8 Trades
I've got Kornes, Beams and Anthony in the mids but I'm not overly fussed about that cos my forwards could be in all sorts with 5 of them with question marks next to them
Goodwin, Higgins, M Brown, Hentschel, Lucas
I spunked the money I made replacing Harvey and Skipworth on Mackie last week so there's no easy early upgrade chance from Brown.
I'm thinking that I'm gonna just swallow the donuts as they all look like it's not quite time to sell as even Lucas got 4 goals for the reserves.
Looking forward to seeing the team sheets and finding out the damage

Decision, decisions....
Hodge, Higgins, Ziebell, Houlihan all out leaving me with two or three bench players who may or may not leave me with 3 or 4 donuts...

Gary Ablett will miss 1 more game SF. keep him.
from all reports he was right to play this weekend, but the club are taking an extra-precautionary approach.

Goodwin named. (rolled ankle) but i think he'll play
Higgins emergency. (groin) i doubt he'll play. but keep him.
Ziebell out (????????????) mystery injury. no idea when he'll be back.
Lucas reserves. (didn't do a full preseason). coach wants to get him right for the 2nd half of the season. but should be back sooner rather than later.

I'm doing nothing. Could ditch Houlihan, but there are no good downgrade targets (except Broughton and he's already in my team).

Re: Rd 8 Trades
I traded out Fraser for Sandilands already in SC
Doesn't matter I already gave up on SC, since I started to do a bit better on DT
Both Grime and Sidebottom are very tempting targets this round.

Grimes is a good shout though, thanks, but he's only played one hasn't he? So I can afford to leave it and see how he goes. I don't envisage losing loads of players to injury so I will have the opportunity to make that trade before rd 9 or even rd 10. And if I do have an injury crisis Houlihan Grimes is probably not the move I'd need to sort it.

Re: Rd 8 Trades
Yeh guys- never trade out a keeper if it isn't a Long Term Injury! Doesnt matter about price...
This week Ill be copping a 0 in rucks with Fraser out .
0 trades for me this round too. Need Cheney, petrenko & Ben Warren to continue to rise in price, targets next week include Sidebum & maybe Grimes

I followed that advice last year and ended up with too many transfers left and not enough points...

I had 5 minutes after work to do a transfer before I went to football and it crashed my computer. Just got home know and realised the extended deadline with tonight's game in the west and the site still not working!! Looks like I'll have to cop 2 donuts..

Bad luck guys - although it looks like my eliminator opponent couldn't make any changes either which gives me a fighting chance to get through.

Re: Rd 8 Trades
Luckily both my opponents have Higgins & Ziebell to even it up. Was going to get Sidebottom in but hadn't decided who to drop, so hoping for both to be back next week and have saved a precious trade.
