The Eliminator
How's everyone getting on in their first eliminator match?
I'm 1181 with Gilbert, Goddard, Newman, GAblett(c), Foley, Cross, GIA, Higgins and Deledio left to play
My opponent is 1374 with Gilbee, Scarlett, Joel Selwood, Wojcinski, GAblett(c) and Richardson left.
Could be tight, but I think I'll squeeze through. This guy has 6 Freemantle players in a week when they've got about 100 points each

Pissed it by 300. No donuts on the opposition team, but just a really strange line-up. I'd be surprised if any of our league goes out in this round, we're too good for that.

Your league's average score per round is: 1,938
Based on your league's average score, your league's ranking is
136 of 17906
Let's get our average over the 2000 mark though.
What are those leagues reprobates ranked at?

That is not a bad score at all. Not bad for a bunch of Poms (and three or four antipodeans)Your league's average score per round is: 1,938

Re: Rd6 Eliminator
I managed to sneak through by about 500 points. Not bad with a donut in defence.
And I've finally joined the winner's circle in the Premiership. Uncsi, hang your head in shame.

Tell me about it. Worst performance for a long time. I have the injury jinx, but so does everyone else, so can't even use that as an excuse.tedbull wrote:I managed to sneak through by about 500 points. Not bad with a donut in defence.

Going to need a few more rounds yet to get some decent scores. Trying to hold onto trades, but so many LTI's are eating them up faster than I'd like. Looking like minor finals for me already. Hopefully sneak into the top 8, but not looking likely at the moment.

Re: Rd6 Eliminator
Just got internet access again after being without it for a month ('coinciding' with an upturn in both my FPL and DT teams )
Couldn't find the eliminator page on the mobile site so had an anxious wait til my new battery came, but I scraped through by over 700 points

I've got another shit team this week, but with five donuts on my team my opponent might be saying the same thing about me!

Re: The Eliminator
I've got a much easier opponent this week - looks like they got lucky with having Roughead and a few Freo players playing well above their averages. As long as the Bulldogs don't put in another pump performance I should be through no problem.

This looks like the week I go out. Up against a better team, with fewer donuts. Will be lucky to get anywhere near them.

Against a team that looks like it will have a couple of donuts (Ablett and Houlihan)...tighter than last week tho (400+ points)

Re: The Eliminator
It will be close, my opponent must have had an off week last week because he is fairly sussed, I have a 90 point lead and my Riewoldt and Jaxson Barham versus his Fisher and Zac Dawson. If I scrape through it will compensate for the placking delivered by Tippaz in the league
I appear to have seriously miscalculated my league game with Tippaz, I can`t check at the moment, but it will be very close, Steelebottom may have done for me though, had a decent game
Edit @ 13.58 Monday.

Re: The Eliminator
Crocodile Dundee 1748 Def by 1776 Francy's Fellas.
Defeated by a team with eff Presti in it.
Still, 19 of my players got very close to 21 of his (I'll not count Presti).

Made it by 128 in the end, Presti did what he could to contain Roo today, but it was comical at points, seen hanging on to Reiwoldts arm like a childs toy, on more than on occasion
And thanks to a mark and kicked goal by the man himself right at the death, helped push me over the line to beat an unlucky Tippaz, and what with the other thing happy days

Re: The Eliminator
I`m lucky ?, have you seen Daves numbers, bottom half of the league on points and a full 16 points
Although I may have turned a corner luck wise, It was strange watching the Saints/ Pies match and focusing mainly on 2 rookies(Barham , Steelebottom), but informative none the less

Did you have any joy with that link I sent you, I watched the whole Saints game on a delayed stream straight after listening to the radio commentary live, 5 solid hours of AFL, frightening amount of dedication to the cause

Good job Worm, make sure you check the injury list on Thursday and make some wise trades. This could be the round that trips us up after the carnage.
