Knulpuk - 9 seconds  Must be a record.

I still enjoy the daily quiz even though my performance seems to be getting steadily worse.

Meant to post on Saturday to see if Bluenosey got the Bluenose answer right on Friday (something about a Canadian ship?)

Been trying to break the 10 secs for a while (on movies day of course) rule is that must answer all 10 of course.

Very happy with that.

Unlike the movi questions themselves. 'orrible.

I managed 247 seconds yesterday without answering any of them so you beat that.

Rubbish interweb connection. ...

4 months of update!
2 wins for golden bear. He did briefly go top for a month after may but X-Man's consistency (8 top 2 finishes out of 8) keeps him top despite trailing 3-4 on monthly wins. nathan247 buts in with an August win capping a noticeable rise in form. MvL keeps ticking over in 3rd overall without quite sending us to sleep with his dull mid-table finishes - prepare to be woken up in September?

That's what comes of rushing (You took 38 and lost, I took 92, read it correctly and won!) One extra correct answer is worth 100 seconds.

Been a funny week and month for me.

Had that rare win on Tuesday, then came last yesterday and am now leading today's scores (early doors).

With 5 days to go:

Very close at the top and they are all going for it. X-Man is 1st so far today but gb is 2nd and MvL 4th so the margins will reduce slightly.

1. MoistVonLipwig 25 6 12.9 309
2. X-Man 25 6 12.3 296
3. golden_bear 25 4 12.2 293

jpk, unbelievably, has me breathing down his neck(ish) and I'm on target to reduce it a little today, Nathan247 is doing even better today and bluenosey has yet to appear so this one is tightening too.

4. jpk 25 1 10.4 249
5. murf 25 3 9.8 236
6. Bluenosey 25 2 9.2 220
7. nathan247 25 1 9.2 220
8. FancyDan 24 1 9.2 212

Still plenty of scope for the minor places too.

9. jagduracell 25 0 8.0 193
10. nffc 25 0 7.5 181
11. spadger 25 0 7.1 171
12. MorrisonDullforce 23 0 7.5 166
13. Sted 24 0 7.1 163
14. vaughana 21 0 7.5 150
15. VId 19 0 7.5 135
16. Surprised 22 0 5.5 115
17. bramernic 22 0 5.0 105

I suspect that there's quite a small pool of questions. I started to see a pattern after many weeks of guessing (and scoring pathetically low in doing so). Once you know that the questions are being repeated it becomes relatively easy.

We've had all but one of those questions before (albeit in different weeks and sometimes in different order). The surname question hasn't appeared before, but was easy.

Time to move on from Premier League I think...

95 seconds is a much better time than it first appears when its for 18 questions rather than 10. The eff browser crashed on Qu.8 the the first time round

Looks like it is all to play for between the 3 of you going into the final day although X-Man is is command.

Think I have blown my hopes of 4th by knowing nothing about old movies or kiddies comic book adaptions.

I think x-man needs to drop out of the top 10 to have a realistic chance of a change of lead tomorrow. At 7/13 I think he'll hang on though.

good to see the pressure got to x-man, forcing him to get 3 wrong and go top with only 7.

Far too hot for me :(

Cracking score as questions were nigh on impossible today.

Thought I'd have a go for old time's sake.

Lost my touch completely
(mind you I did read 'won' instead of 'lost' for one question and can't count, so there were 2 that I actually knew the answer to but put the wrong one down.

It's not tempting me to start up again. Quite glad I've got out of the habit really :D
