Congratulations to the pair of you.

My best month ever and I only go and forget to enter on the 27th. Had I just done moderately well that day I could/would have made up those 6 points.....

Nov 15
1. MoistVonLipwig (238 points, 7 wins)
2. FancyDan (234 points, 5 wins)
3. murf (232 points, 1 wins)
4. Bluenosey (221 points, 4 wins)
5. spadger (210 points, 2 wins)
6. MorrisonDullforce (184 points, 4 wins)
7. nathan247 (170 points, 2 wins)
8. jagduracell (149 points, 2 wins)
9. vaughana (148 points, 0 wins)
10. Sted (131 points, 2 wins)

If I get the chance I'll score for the season to date soon so we can see if we have much to play for in the last month.

My two week break didn't help.

....brushes away tumbleweed....

Yesterday was 1st day of the month and 11 people played:
Player Pts Awarded Correct Seconds Score
1. MorrisonDullforce + 11 pts 10 80 920
2. FancyDan + 10 pts 9 86 814
3. spadger + 9 pts 8 74 726
4. Sted + 8 pts 8 75 725
5. murf + 8 pts 8 90 710
6. vaughana + 7 pts 8 142 658
7. MoistVonLipwig + 7 pts 7 49 651

9. nathan247 + 6 pts 6 74 526
10. Surprised + 5 pts 5 79 421
11. Mystery + 2 pts 4 83 317

BUT.... the scoreboard gives points to 12 players!

1. MorrisonDullforce 1 1 -- 12
2. FancyDan 1 0 -- 11
3. spadger 1 0 -- 10
4. Sted 1 0 -- 9
5. vaughana 1 0 -- 8

9. nathan247 1 0 -- 6
10. Surprised 1 0 -- 5

Guys, I've got a new job starting in December and a general reassessment of priorities, so I'm probably going to drop out of the quiz after this month. Looks like I'm going out on a high... :D

Sorry, couldn't let you win on your last day!

We seem to be ticking over still despite a slow but steady drop in numbers so I think we should carry on.

If anyone knows of a better site for a revamp of the comp or has any other ideas (bar the obvious dropping the saturday football category! - do we still need saintmark to change things ? Is he still around?)

Not sure how many years I have been doing this but my favourite ever question has been set today;

What month before the sailing of the Titanic was the splash guard attached to the A Deck Promenade?

No idea on the password (saintmark set it all up. Could PM him if he is still around).

There is a facility to invite folks if you PM me your e-mail address (probably can't do it til tonight though as I'm out and about). Can't guarantee it will work but we can try.

just played it - first time for years!! it remembered my password luckily.

sort of forgot it was a speed test as well, so not the fastest time, but not too bad. Seem to remember it gets easier if you play every day as the same questions come up!

Not seen that before - got one marked wrong then they tell me it was the right answer, even in the text underneath.

The one on "Gilligan's Island" - names changed to not give away the, err, correct answer

Your Answer: 'Doris'
The correct answer was 'Doris'.

The correct answer is 'Doris'. On the show, X's first name was actually "Y"

Not me. I decided months/ years ago not to take this day seriously enough to try and deliberately remember the answers. Some have crept in to my mind since but not that one!

Let's talk about categories !
Years ago we had regular votes of what came and went. As long as Premier League footie goes I don't care!
